  • This video is about the star of Bethlehem, the Magi and the connections. We'll take a 2 track story, first about the Magi, then we'll analyze that unusual Star over Bethlehem in order to find a connection in the overall story in the bible. Please like, share, subscribe and turn on those notifications so I can continue to connect the word of God.
The bible is the inerrant Word of God, on this channel we believe that the Bible is the truth. Although it was written by 40 different human authors, there was one common ghost writer and that is The Holy Spirit which inspired all of them. This channel tries to stay away from theology but instead focuses on a unique Bible Study approach by connecting the bible as a whole book using tools such as typology, parallelisms, and multiple-layered contextualized connections. Yes, God can operate on different levels at the same time, to mean more than one thing at the same time.
I enjoy a deep dive Bible Study, and always will cite scripture to back up the conclusions.

Thank you for the video. You made some very good points about baby Jesus, the Magi & where they came from, the morning star, satan, etc etc. An interesting point i found & not many want to talk about it, is that Abraham & Sara are from Babylon the city of Ur. The account is quite intriguing especially when Abraham passes Sarai as his sister & tricks Pharaoh. Later God intervened inflicting Pharaoh & his house with a plague. Hmmm, it really makes me wonder. Why would God afflict someone whose not at fault? Why did he not afflict the lier?

    • @connectingthebible-deeperb5680
      @connectingthebible-deeperb5680  Před rokem +2

That's a great point about Abraham coming out of Babylon. I touched on that in my videos. That incident about Pharoah in Egypt taking Sarah, his wife was also a parallel story.
But if you want to go deeper about why God did not reprimand or discipline Abraham for his lie,(half truth) then read what happened to Abraham in the next chapter. You'll find after Abraham does something bad, stretching the truth in this case, then something bad happens to him in direct cause of of his shortcomings. Abraham's story is about faith, and he did show tremendous faith, but he also showed a lack of faith too and did receive consequences if you follow his story line. It's not at the foremost of the storyline, but it is in there. Good point, God Bless

well there is a problem with the story, because she was pregnant on the way to Bethlehem, so how long did they stay? That is interesting. So we know that they probably came at the last minute for the census, which put it right up to the. When Chinese astronomers recorded the bright red Po star..
So it was a young child, meaning probably a very newborn baby. Harid probably just added an extra year because it's hard to tell a newborn from a one-year-old or a one year old from a two year old. And maybe he didn't know when the child was born

I enjoyed watching your video but I have to tell you that Dr. Jason Lisle has a much better explanation for the star. Dr Lisle is an Astrophysicist and said that it wasn't a conjunction as that wouldn't have lasted long enough for them to follow all that way nor would it guide them to anything. Dr Lisle said that the star was "His star" which makes it unique. If it had been bright then the Jews would have seen it too and been able to follow it themselves. What was unique with this star is that it rose in the West and moved until it came to where Jesus was. Which by that time He was no longer a baby but a toddler living in Egypt to escape Herod's decree. Here is a link to the video that I am referring to. I hope you find it as interesting as I did. czcams.com/video/MsI5LmALqDg/video.html

Except for Cyrus wasn't about 62 years old when he conquered Babylon, as it is written in Daniel. So, saying that the writers used a different name for Cyrus doesn't work. (11:38)

I think you misunderstood me. I had to re-watch the video to see it for myself. I even went back to the article cited in Biblehistory.net. I wasn't trying to say that the Darius mentioned in Daniel 5 is actually Cyrus by another name. I was relaying that the article cited said that Darius in Daniel 5:30, goes by another name that matches the historical record.
Here's a link to the article:
      www.biblehistory.net/newsletter/belshazzar_darius_mede.htm
The research about Darius is about halfway down the article.
I can see how you thought I said something else, if you didn't also read the article. I could have been more precise with my wording.
The Darius mentioned in Daniel 5, is probably an administrator set up by Cyrus who did take over after Babylon fell. And I wanted to call attention that this Darius is not Darius the Great known in history. And sometimes the Bible does not match historical records, but that doesn't mean it's not true.
Thanks for watching and your comment. It helps me make sure I'm being more attentive to details and precise in articulation. God Bless

    • @connectingthebible-deeperb5680
      @connectingthebible-deeperb5680  Před 10 měsíci +2

That's a good one, here's another one in Revelation.
      Revelation 16:12-13
12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
So the Euphrates dries up and 3 unclean spirits come up to gather for the final battle at Megiddo. That supports the theory there were 3 Wisemen that came across the Euphrates to worship the newborn King, while Satan sends the last 3 unclean spirits out of the Euphrates for his final battle.

The 'Star of Bethlehem' was not an astronomical or cosmological event. Joseph (Jesus' father) formed an alliance with Theudas, the head of the Therapeutes. The 2 in warrior mode, gave themselves titles taken from an OT verse. Joseph was the 'Star' (of David), & Theudas was the 'Scepter'. The West Manasseh Magi were a priestly caste of Samaritan philosophers. They were founded in 44BC by Menahem, and later led by Simon Zelotes. The Magians were Joseph's political associates. When they 'followed the star' were agreeing with Joseph that a new Davidic king had been born (Jesus). Because they recognized him as king, they were accepting him as legitimate.

In Matthew 2: 9 the ' star ' does not look like conventional star or planet, but rather more of a supernatural device that is much, much closer and able to ' park ' right over the spot where Jesus was.
Jesus was born during the pilgrimage to everyone's family town for the decree.
The inn they went to was most likely already packed and not a good place for having a baby. The innkeeper was not being a punk, he most likely set them up with a nice secluded place, most likely a sheep fold, basically a stone- walled enclosure with one doorway where shepherds could park their sheep for the night and sleep in the one doorway.
The shepherds were close by possibly in other sheep folds when they got the angelic message.
Sorry, no cute buildings, no animals, just Mary and Joseph with maybe check- up meetings by the innkeeper.
Joseph was a carpenter and being in his family's hometown they probably stayed with relatives for quite a while and when the Magi showed up Jesus was possibly a toddler. They probably all had Him on their laps.
The Magi gave them gifts which helped to FINANCE their escape to Egypt to avoid being murdered by Herod.

Believe scripture not Christian rhetoric because Satan did not fall from grace. He was a liar and a murderer from the beginning. Lucifer it's not a proper name. It is a title that means light bearer. I teach the New Testament the way these gentlemen teach the Old. Being a true Christian man's not having anything to do with the law of Moses. That was the old Covenant given to people building a golden calf to worship. Gal 1:19. Jesus taught that as a man thinks so is he and that's pure psychology. Paul, later, Taught Grace by faith which is also psychology. Religion says you are what you do

The Deut 4 Passage and interpretation in this video is muddled when the earliest hebrew to greek translation is read comparatively. KEY details are absent from this video's version
****It seems implied of the things "Under Heaven", and "on the Earth"
is repeated in the earlier Septuagint translation below:
We have minds to perceive the "signs and seasons" of the heavens
Important: an alternate translation for heavenly bodies is also translatable as "heavenly order"
Heavenly Body Vs Heavenly Order =
    Dumb-Mass Vs Intelligent Movement
There's no condemnation here of evaluating the timings with the sky with timing of the day or whatever,,
it all is pointed to things down BELOW and not to fall into them
The beauty of the heavens is used to contrast the things in this world below, the heavenly bodies or /Order/ in
no rational way can be construed to be "distributed to all the nations under heaven"
15And take good heed to your hearts, for ye saw no similitude in the day in which the Lord spoke to you in Choreb in the mountain out of the midst of the fire: 16lest ye transgress, and make to yourselves a carved image, any kind of figure, the likeness of male or female, 17the likeness of any beast of those that are on the earth, the likeness of any winged bird which flies under heaven, 18the likeness of any reptile which creeps on the earth, the likeness of any fish of those which are in the waters under the earth; 19and lest having looked up to the sky, and having seen the sun and the moon and the stars, and all the heavenly bodies, thou shouldest go astray and worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God has distributed to all the nations under heaven. 20But God took you, and led you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be to him a people of inheritance, as at this day.

Brilliant information thank you. I have some information for you to add to yours. Daniel chapter 12 is being fulfilled now in the sign ( or star in the heavens the same as it was for Jesus) in the heavens in Revelation Chapter 12,1.
Chapter 13 1, the sands of the sea is God's people, and the one who stands to protect them is the archangel Michael the same as Daniel chapter 12,1. also we get out of Babylon the Great the same as marry and Joseph got Jesus out of Bethlehem, Babylon the Great is completely destroyed. All the children under 2 were killed.
This is the life of Jesus. The star in the heavens appears for the wise men to follow, 30 years later Jesus is Baptised, 1 day travelling into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil 40 days and nights, 1-day leaving the wilderness to start his ministry,,which is 1260 days, at this point Jesus is put to death =1332 after 3/12 days he is resurrected =1335 the same as Daniel chapter 12.
My brother the sign in the heavens in revelation 12,1 is for the wise to follow in are day. And The life of Jesus is the key for us.
The wise can calculate the 666 revelation13,18., my brother it calculates to 1332 then 3/12 days =1335 days , the next verse all the faithful are standing on Mount Zion with Jesus, which means that they have been resurrected and rewarded . I can give you the scriptures in revelations to prove the calculation, we are living in exciting times .I have a lot more information on the subject. Please contact me, your brother Paul.

I would love to see your calculations on this, take me through it step by step with the math:
"This is the life of Jesus. The star in the heavens appears for the wise men to follow, 30 years later Jesus is Baptised, 1 day travelling into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil 40 days and nights, 1-day leaving the wilderness to start his ministry,,which is 1260 days, at this point Jesus is put to death =1332 after 3/12 days he is resurrected =1335 the same as Daniel chapter 12."
You might have happened upon a parallel, I talk about parallels all the time. There can be many things that happen multiple times. I just did a video about the Daniel 12 timeline which was fulfilled just recently. IT is going to propel a couple more videos, the next one will be where are we in the Book of Revelation. That next video should be ready in about a week. I am recording now. Then I'll take the Daniel 12 prophecy and use it to identify the first beast of Revelation. That video I am hoping to get done before the end of the year. Just writing all the script now.
But Daniel's prophecy talks about the beginning of end times, so it would be closer to end times.
This does not nullify what you may have found in your studies, like I said there can be multiple parallels in things. Watch my video about Daniel 12, it may help you. And feel free to list your math computations on Daniel 12. Thanks Brother, God Bless

The most likely theory that most people who've studied this is the 2 different infancy narratives between Matthew and Luke are talking about 2 slightly different time periods.
The Luke story covers the shepherds you referenced in the fields which mentions Jesus as a baby in the manger most people know.
But the Matthew story with the wise men, covers a time period a little bit later. That part references a young child that they saw. Not a baby. This is still believed to be December 25th as to when the star was above Bethlehem when the wise men worshiped the new king.
But the actual birth of Jesus could have happened 2-3 months earlier. This is the most likely scenario when you study both the infancy stories in the 2 different gospels.

Many have used the stars to chart courses for travel etc etc. There is more about the stars than most of us can imagine. Most of the real practice was forgotten over time. Unfortunately most have linked it to evil. Just a side note. Although the bible has warnings about astrology, the high priests in Israel were very much involved. So it seems like a law for thee & a law for me.

I agree except for the star..your theory is far fetched. Only the magiis could see it. If everyone could see it then one of Herods magicians or he himself could follow it to its destination!! Then that particular star set itself immediately over the manger where the holy family was..can your planets do that?? No.
That star was a product of satan therefore it did and went as he pleased.
Besides..if the objective was to find the new king...why would that star first take them to evil Herod?? Why?? Because satans final end was to rid himself of Jesus and egomaniac Herod was a perfect instrument.
But plan as he did..God blasted the plan by having the magiis head out another way.

Selam.

Dear sister, please listen to the messages here. He does a good job explaining the Holy Bible. Jesus is the only begotten Son (in Aramaic it actually means Jesus is the unique one) no one else will ever be like Him. He died and 3 days later was resurrected! He lives!!! No other messages have come back to life. Only Jesus can save you. Allah died. Mohamed died.
Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven ❤
