  • They say rock and roll is dead but if you are still sitting in your mom's basement with just your underwear on headbanging to AC/DC’s Thunderstruck, you are keeping rock and roll alive.
    AC/DC’s unique rock sound has often been often described as hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal, but the band from down under simply called their sound rock and roll. AC/DC is without a doubt one of the greatest rock bands of all time, who have sold out packed stadiums and sold over 200 million records worldwide.
    But apart from all their success, the band has faced a lot of tragedy throughout its storied existence. Let's take a look at the tragic real-life story of AC/DC.

    I'll never look @ Axl Rose as Brian's replacement. Brian has been AC/DC since 1980. Fans love to bring up, well Brian replaced Bon Scott. But that was different. The sad passing of Bon, left the band no choice but replace him.

      I haven't followed AC/DC since Malcolm's passing and Brian's retirement, so I don't know how Axl is doing with the band. I assume, or at least hope, he's grown up enough since his GNR days not to pull any of the spoiled brat antics he was (in)famous for back then. I highly doubt Angus would put up with it. Axl has been spared washed up has-been status for a little longer, and he'd be wise to remember and appreciate it.

    • @LUNITICWILL
      @LUNITICWILL Před 6 lety +23

      Axl hasn't done any of his 80s and 90s antics. He fits in pretty well with ACDC. he can hit the high notes of Bon and the low notes of Brian. Axl did well during the tour. hell, the band was able to play Touch Too Much live, for the 1st time thanks to Axl so there's that.

    I was lucky to see AC/DC with Bon Scott IN 1977 in Austin Tx at The Armadillo World Headquarters. They opened up for Moxy. AC/DC blew them away. I still remember sitting s few feet from the stage. Back then... nobody stood up, we just sat on the floor, joints were flowing from person to person. Back then...pitchers of Budwiser were $1.00. That will stay on my mind for the rest of my life, Nothing will last forever, everything must come to an end. I still say vocalist Marc Storace from the band Krokus sounds way better the Axle Rose and should take his place. There is a band called Bonfire, the vocalist Claus Lessmann is a reincarnation of Bon Scott. Check it out, just google Bonfire, you will be amazed ✌

    I was there on the arena floor in Salt Lake City. The band stopped playing and all the lights came on and Brian did all he could to get the crowd to back up because some people were hurt and they needed to get emergency personal to them. I tell you true, I'm 5'10" 185lbs when this happened. It was GA on the floor, no chairs. So when the crowd moved, it was like a single living entity. My arms were pinned to my sides my feet were off the ground and it was hard to draw a single breath ! Hot as hell and being crushed by the bodies around you. I'm a combat Veteran and that was one of the most terrifying nights of my life. The lights were left on and suddenly Angus appeared in the center of the floor on a round scissor lift and soloed as it slowly lifted in the air. I commend AC/DC for getting help and the asap help of this insanely huge crowd. And then keeping everyone's attention on finishing the show and not rioting. It would be ten years before they came back in 2001' Stiff Upper Lip tour. I was there as well. I look forward to seeing them 2019 now Brian, Phil and Cliff are back. Let there be rock !!

      I'm not a current fan but ive heard a lot of pre- ac/dc Bon and Brian that never woulda made me think these guys will lead my favorite band. Ac/dc has always raised the bar. Angus knows what he wants in the sound and I'm on board to try it out. I dont want Angus to disappear and I like Steve and wanna hear what else the guys do. And I really dont want a bon or Brian sound alike and axl doesn't , so that's a plus for me.

    regardless of history, I would never call the story of ACDC tragic....... I mean, we still talk about one of the most legendary bands of all time...... you cannot imagine the amount of people who would still swap their lives with lives of these rock gods......

    Aa teenager, I was in Salt Lake City at the Salt Palace in 1992 right in front on the left side. I had lost my friends somewhere in the back and worked my way upfront. You see we all love AC/DC, and when the crunch started you literally could lift your legs and be held upright then the air seemed to disappear, and fear seem to take over. I was surrounded by a bunch of good guys, that had the foresight to see I was in over my head so they pushed me up above their shoulders then I crawled on the top of people that helped me get to the stage and where I was pulled out by stage crew. Later that night I found out a couple of people lost their lives. It was so easy to get caught up in the moment. But at the time you just do not realize the dangers. Thank you AC/DC and crew for reaching out and helping me get to safety. It was a great concert aside from the loss. Unfortunately, by the time they returned 10 years later I had already moved to San Diego with my family, or I would have gone again to see them.

    A lot of things happen in 40 years, in anyone's life. Some tragic, some not. The fact that AC/DC went as far as they did was a miracle, even with all the talent involved. This channel is obviously one of Those (making the easiest kind of content possible, choosing any topic that's popular/relevant enough to drag in the views).

    I played the Hell out of the AC/DC album that I cut my teeth on High Voltage .They didn’t sound like anyone I had heard .Between the lyrics about getting up to all manner of mischief and the blood pumping delivery that album was the theme song to many crazy and memorable nights still on our permanent record I’m sure.I was hesitant to warm up to whoever took Bons job but when the boys first came to town for the Hells Bells tour Brian came out first with a Sledge Hammer and took his first whack at the Liberty Bell they had on stage and it bounced back and hit him or something close to it. He hit it right back and bought himself a load of new fans in that moment.Cheers Boys.

      Brian's hearing wasn't from the concerts, it was from car racing without hearing protection. Otherwise Angus and Cliff, who had been around since the Bon Scott days (when they played much louder) would also be going deaf

      All loud noises and sounds greater than 85db can cause ear/hearing injury. It’s also cumulative. So loud music and loud racing car sounds can indeed cause hearing loss. Can’t rule out one or the other.
