- Booster Course Wave 4 for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is here, and we’re checking out All Changes and differences made for the returning courses. The second race of the Boomerang Cup is DS Mario Circuit. It’s a classic racetrack near the sea, with Peach’s Castle overlooking the landscape, vicious Piranha Plants along the winding road, and a lush forest inhabited by a sleeping Wiggler. So how does the most recent update differ from past instalments? Let’s find out!

Thankfully this version doesn't require you to defeat 30 Goombas under a strict time limit like that one DS Mission.
Mario Kart DS' Missions were brutal.

Unless they Bring some sort of Mission Mode to Mario Kart 8 then which case possibly the mission could come again.
Or they could bring the one where you play as Luigi and You race Mario.

DS Mario Circuit is one of those tracks that you want to hate, but just can't.
The new forest section, Wiggler hazard, and the music in all games, are what redeemed itself, IMO.
I don’t hate it but I don’t like it either. I just think it’s boring
I think the fire piranha plants and the trickier but really fun track layout make it stand out from other Mario Circuits.
Right? I honestly think it’s my favourite Mario Circuit, besides GCN’s in mkwii
I would've rather Airship fotress, Luigi's Mansion or Delfino Square, but I don't hate Mario Circuit, it' one of the better Mario circuits honestly

Not sure if you noticed, but those 2 fire piranha plants in 8 Deluxe are a lot larger than how they appeared in Tour. The Sleeping Wiggler also reminds anyone of level 7's boss mission in mission mode in Mario Kart DS, where you had to use Mario and raced against it. Also, a cool reference to that course's debut game by using Mario and the B Dasher with normal tires, like the staff ghost for this course
It also matches how you see the B Dasher in its debut game
Ah, cool! Yeah, the Fire Piranha Plants may have size differences universally. The B Dasher reference was used throughout the footage and even in the thumbnail; we really liked that! Edit: The Shooting Star vehicle for DS footage reflects the ghost for that course rather than the B Dasher.
@@PeachToadstool I always loved the design of the B Dasher. Too bad it has bad stats.

@@PeachToadstool Especially not for me. I play the game more competitively (like most games I play), so I prefer vehicles like the Teddy Cruiser.
I hate DS Mario Circuit in Mario Kart DS, but I like it a lot here. Maybe because the track isn't as slippery as before.

As a Mario Kart DS fanboy, I do like this track, not as much as Shroom Ridge, Peach Gardens, or even Waluigi Pinball, but it’s a pretty good pretty good track overall.
I never thought I'd see this track remade and it finally happened
Think they might redo nearly all of those that they haven't gotten around to yet. (not sure about the Arcade ones though)
The music of this track is one of my favorite music of the game it's so awesome!
So they picked this track over Figure-8 Circuit in Mario Kart*8*Deluxe. (Oh and Airship Fortress)
Changes I would make:
3:41 should be an Anti-Gravity section.
3:03 The Bump should be a Gilder Ramp on the Final Lap.
Bring back 4:22

am i the only one who thinks the wiggler addition is really cool?
I think they need to have 2 wrigglers going around the entire track all 3 laps Ku set to ramp up the difficulty
Something I’ve realized about DS’s tracks are they were either remarkable (Peach Gardens, Waluigi Pinball, arguably DK Pass) or totally forgettable.
This one is one of the latter to me, just like… Shroom Ridge? (I forget the name. The one added in a previous booster update… you know the one. This may be slightly supporting for my point.) Anyway, this one needed a remake, for sure. I only remember DS’s Wario Stadium and Yoshi Falls because they returned in 8 and Wii!
It's shorter, but thankfully not GBA remake shorter.
DS Mario Circuit remake has more tress making a forest then DS Shroom Ridge remake does which is suppose to be a track on a mountain forest road which the original was.
It's kinda sad that they removed the sponsor banners I think that's one of the coolest nods to previous entries in the franchise.
This is the one tour redesign I prefer over the OG.
While I did find this to be the least interesting of the new tracks, I did enjoy this coverage and seeing how it's changed so much. Good work, as always.

I know I've said it a million times already, but everything about Bowser Kart Tour-ment is trash! And I don't like Bowser Kart Tour-ment!

What's wrong with it? It looks perfectly fine to me. It may be lacking in texture, but they more than make up for it with physical detail.
