    He threw his head up because the guy pulled too hard too quickly on the latigo. Geesh people, have some technique while cinching! Easy does it, that hurts.

      That's what I thought. Yeah, they might throw their head a little bit, but it's when it's that much you should take note.

    • @Equinella2
      @Equinella2 Před 5 lety +3

      @@roseyhorsegirl8079 They should never throw their head up when cinching. A cinch should be done up in stages; just enough to keep the saddle in place, move the horse (warm up) for a few mins, then tighten a bit again, and again before mounting. If you've done that technique and they still throw their head, they might need a chiropractor.

    Also ask about why they use the type of bit they do and ask about any other equipment that they put on him ask about clipping and washing and what he is like to worm and shoe or have his teeth floated all regular parts of horse care

      sue mcfarlane An easy fix so why worry about it? And why catch a horse at all when it's so much easier to let the horse catch you?

    • @beverlywilcox4349
      @beverlywilcox4349 Před 5 lety

      it's a clue about how the horse has been treated in the past. Catching may be an easy fix (most of the time) but the attitude behind avoidance of humans isn't.

    you shouldn't clip their ears or whiskers.
    or stall them.
    or shoe them.

    • @BedardJ
      @BedardJ Před 4 lety +2

      BRENNA COLNER clipping their whiskers deprives them of their full sense of their environment. Their ear hair protects against bot flies, horse flies, other nats, and debri. 98% of the horse world does not use stalls just for just sick or injured animals. Lastly, why would nailing a metal shoe to a horse help?

    • @doriennaraine3004
      @doriennaraine3004 Před 4 lety +1

      @BRENNA COLNER They need their whiskers for sensory purposes and ear hair to keep stuff out, stalling a horse for anything but injury is mental abuse, shoeing: you put a metal plate in your shoe 24/7 and tell me it wont hurt your tendons, feet ans joints. Theres even thermal scans where it cuts any blood flow/ circulation to the hoof. It compromises the natural hoof.
      Preventing its ablity to flex, grow, circulate. And opening up the hoof wall to allow bad bacteria.
