I've heard wackier shit than ZKK, but my issue is that the readers promoting it never admit they're just Zoro fanboys being selfish.
Agreed. I like Zoro precisely because of how he is as a character, and he arguably does more than Luffy does, but doesn't get credit for it, and he doesn't care to.
Zoro's tests are those of endurance, whereas Luffy's are of strength. That's even made abundantly clear against Kaido, but people seem to ignore it.
ZKK is a fine theory. The only other characters who can kill Kaidou narratively are Momo, Yamato, Big Mom, and Black Beard.
Zoro might be in the more likely than two of those category at the moment.
ZKK isn't a bad theory at all. It's just a weird path for the story to take. It would be a repeat of his possible ancestor and a way for him to be revered as the savior of Wano like Ryuma was, which might be the strongest aspect of the theory.

The only way I see Zoro killing Kaido after Luffy beats him is if Luffy turns his back, Kaido turns into a dragon to stretch out and make one final attack on Luffy and Zoro rushes through and beheads a 'real' dragon.

Why not? Zoro literally comes from Wano Kuni, his dad and ancestors from Wano Kuni so i do think there might be more reason thn Luffy defeating Kaido. But since we all know Luffy is the MC so he's the one Defeating him.

I understand that we often see very little interactions between Zoro or Sanji with the main villain, but Wano was different. Zoro had really big moments, he did more than Kidd or Law per example. You cant expect Zoro to now deliver life threatening blows to Kaido when Luffy himself is barely able to do it, and he has more stuff in his arsenal. Its a really poor writing decision.

Not a fan of ZKK, but I will play devils advocate and suggest that we can see a similar situation to what we saw back in TB with Zoro. Luffy and crew all down for the count after finishing off Kaido, but Kaido gets up one last time to try to get Luffy and Zoro (and Sanji most likely) could be the wall that stops him. That situation imo can give the ZZK more of a satisfying conclusion, with Luffy still getting most of the credit and not make Zoro look lame doing it.
If Kaido were to get back up, wouldn't that make it seem that Luffy didn't truly defeat him? Although I do agree that this hypothetical situation would make Zoro the least lame compare to the other one of him just simply being an executioner.

Zoro was a feared bounty hunter, robin snaps the necks of most ppl she fights, and there’s just so many instances of the straw hats delivering blows that a normal human just can’t survive. To Piggy back off the parallels with Ryuma, I think Morj's missed some important details.
1. Ryuma killed a (Western Dragon) with Shusui... Zoro also killed a (Western Dragon) with Shusui in Punk Hazard.
2. Oden scarred Kaido (EASTERN DRAGON) with Enma... Zoro acquires Enma and scars Kaido (EASTERN DRAGON).
What Zoro does seems tied to repeating the feats of the Swords. Shusui' feat was repeated; Enma's feat was repeated; he needs a Sword without feats to create his own legacy, thus why Nidai Kitetsu was introduced it seems.
There's a pattern here supposedly. In essence, Zoro killing a Dragon due to Ryuma killing a Dragon already happened, therefore, he's unlikely to kill Kaido.
Zoro also killing Kaido would more or less be touted as Zoro defeating Kaido... Luffy's role is to defeat Kaido, so as Morj said, if Kaido's to die, it would be after he's defeated, after Luffy's been given credit, and therefore, his death can't be attributed to Zoro anymore. It would be something that'd realistically happen post Wano.

I don't think a single person that says ZKK ironically or unironically wants Zoro to kill an already beaten Kaido, I've never heard anyone say that. Now, getting the last hit on Kaido defeating/killing him yes I have seen and imo there are alot of valid points to that theory, but its always during the fight in the climax, never after he is on the ground unconscious.

If Kaido gets back up then that doesn't mean he's defeated then. Either Kaido is down for the count like all of Luffy's boss fights, or Luffy doesn't have it in him to beat kaido and Zoro comes in to kill him.
When Luffy gets done with Kaido, that's it. He'll be laid out just like Lucci, Doff, Arlong, etc. Luffy tends to put bosses to sleep. Kaido will be no different, unless you believe Kaido will get up, which means Luffy didn't actually defeat him then.

A Brazilian guy that I watch has a theory that Zoro would cut one of Kaido's horns. This would be a badass moment for Zoro and a dishonorable momento for Kaido (specially if this "Oni" thing is more explaned and Kaido has some sort of grudge on humans or pride in Onis, with his horn representing this pride), while still letting Luffy get the finishing blow AND not letting Kaido die. I think this would be pretty awesome, specially if it happens as Zoro leads the SH crew.

Playing devil's advocate for a moment, can Kaido be left alive at the end of Wano? If he is, who's going to stop him once the Straw Hats are gone? Wano has no-one that can, and the Marines have proven multiple times they are incapable of holding, let alone killing, him. So Kaido has to die to keep him from picking right back up where he left off. Because he won't stop just because he's beaten. So who's going to kill him? Luffy? Luffy doesn't kill anyone. That's well established. Yamato? Possibly, but we still don't know enough about her character to know if she would really be able to go through with killing her own father or not. That only leaves Zoro. You say that having him do it would be pathetic and the lowest point for Zoro's character, but remember what he said top King: "...Who knows, by the of this...I might be the one tearing your throat out with my teeth. Anything to ensure I win this fight!!!"
Killing Kaido would be about necessity. And if Zoro sees that, and sees that he's the only one capable of, and willing to kill him, why wouldn't he take that on himself as Luffy's right-hand? No, it's not honorable. But sometimes, necessity wins.
@Michael been looking for someone to comment this. This isn’t about “following the formula of the story.” Kaido is vastly different from every other antagonist in that he must be killed. There’s nothing dishonorable about being the executioner of a beast like Kaido, especially when he wants to die
Bingo. There are a couple possibilities that Kaido can be removed from the picture without killing (Luffy breaks Kaido's spirit to become pirate king, just like Kaido does it to others, so it'd be a nice reversal; or maybe dr vegapunk finally made a special prison out of which kaido can't escape; or maybe fujitora and green bull arrive and behead Kaido). But these are all kinda far-fetched. The easiest solution to Kaido needing to be killed is Zoro killing him. And unlike how Morj made a strawman out of it, it won't necessarily be dishonorable either. Kaido's body might be broken and he might be getting ready to fight again, doing it so pathetically that Luffy doesn't even find it worth his time. So Zoro walks in, saying "this was your wish, right?" as Kaido realizes he's NOT getting an honorable death (thereby, defeating the villain of this saga) and Zoro finishes him. That's not dishonorable or underhanded. In this case, Kaido would be proving that he's a menace which wouldn't stop unless killed, and Zoro would simply be ridding the world of this problem. Like, do people think Kaido's way of killing Oden was comparable to Guard No. 2's way of killing Roger? Oden was also tired and at the end of his life. But Kaido shooting him in the head isn't jeered at, and Morj doesn't look down upon Kaido for killing Oden like that. So why does Zoro doing it to Kaido in similar circumstances all of a sudden become so shameful an act? Zoro killing kaido might still be a stupid idea, but it's not one for the reasons Morj says here. He gives pretty weak justifications for that honestly
I've always thought that Luffy would break his will and he would be unable to use Haki anymore, as that is the core of his strength. Haki is literally the embodiment of will, so if your Will is broken, I imagine u can't use it anymore

3:54 Kaido always looks like a pretty fun guy in his dragon form. He automatically seems to gain layers and even humour (or amusement and social competence, of sorts). It's hard to describe, he basically gains a "charm", as that of "creatures".
Mr Morj So when zoro stated he wanted kaido's head... I assume that doesn't count as aiming specifically for kaido. even though that was him exclusively aiming for kaido, he literally skipped past queen.
Also lets be honest when we say zoro kills him after luffy beats him, it suggests that kaido gets up after being unconcious for enough time that wano has acknowleged luffys efforts and that he managed to knock out kaido however he would be exhausted...assuming zoro isnt yet. Kaido is slightly weakened but only due to fatigue and prepares a boro breath or another attack that no one is ready to counter and zoro appears and he and kaido approach and he cuts off kaidos head in a ryuma type of situation. Now im not saying it will defintiely happen because I do like the idea of zoro going back up and holding his own against kaido and truly gaining kaidos respect. I doubt it would diminish luffys victory severly because luffy has repeatedly been knocked out and gotten back up after some rest... especially against kaido, it would sort of insult kaidos durability if he couldn't do the same against luffy at least once.

I have spend ao much time on thinking about this that I m at limit now. No energy now, let's see how this actually plays out.
ZKK has always been a bit of a weird sentiment, but I always thought that Zoro ought to be a pretty big factor in Kaido's defeat.
He has a very similar amount of build-up to Luffy when it comes to reasons to defeat Kaido, and it feels like he should be one of the legends of Wano by the time the Strawhats leave the island due to the parallels with Ryuma and Oden and the neat "1, 2, 3" it would do with the number of swords used by the heroes of Wano.
To put it simply, it feels like Zoro v Kaido isn't done, and that it will come back in a spectacular way, but killing him was always a bit of a weird idea imho.

I’m a Zoro fan and even before watching this I thought it was strange that people think he’s gonna kill Kaido. Never made sense to me either. Figured it was obvious he would be a huge help and get his hits in but not be the deciding factor let alone the one to finish it all.

Edit: Here’s my argument against all this ZKK nonsense. Kaido wants to die gloriously. Therefore he will NOT get his wish. So if Zoro kills Kaido, it would be in an inglorious way, which would undercut Zoro’s feat, reducing him to an executioner rather than a hero. Because dying by the blades of a hero in the midst of the greatest war since Marineford would be fulfilling Kaido’s greatest wish.

It may happen like this, Kaido is defeated and Strawhats are enjoying defeat of Kaido, suddenly injured and weak Kaido wakes up and transforms into Dragon tries to blast a fire that is where suddenly Zoro comes and cuts down Kaido in his dragon form.
And with One shot kill, this way Zoro will get a feat for cutting down Kaido and Zoro pride will also remain, this way he won't cut Kaido but his weak dragon form on that state.
This way he will fulfill Kaido's wish to be death and also save his comrades without using chip tricks or from behind.

I think Zoro will still kill him. But not in either camp you stated. I think the samurai wanting to take his head has been to prevalent to ignore. I think luffy will solo defeat kaido. But then after the fight the samurai will want kaido executed but there is no one in wano who is able to cut kaido therefore Zoro will step in to take his head for the people of wano.
It won’t happen for Zoro to be badass.. it just has to happen unless Oda expects us to believe that the people of wano who have been chanting to take Kaido’s head can suddenly cut him enough to do it themselves or just decide that Luffy knocking him out was enough for 20 years of trauma done to them.. zoro’s connection to yassuie will be the reason he accepts the role to do the execution for the people of wano.
