8:06 Yeah I frowned at Nepgear about this as well. 17:53 people also sleep on Neptune because of her "relaxed" ways however moments like this are where she shines. Though I truly believe she is the most powerful character in the series (like Kagura), she doesn't believe in going all out before seeing a better solution . Despite even Iris Heart with her sense of dominance is really no match for Neptune. This was proven in the anime. Not only that, people before meeting her generally are afraid of her because of the power she exudes. If you're powerful, you don't have to intimidate. Also on a side note regarding Arfoire, I believe she has some connections to either the Vile God or Evil Goddess from Fairy Fencer F. Just my personal theory. Because Arfoire is chrome...🐉

You know, going by this ep, we really should have at least heard a name drop of the previous goddess by now. The citizens know all the CPUs and candidates by both forms. One even called Neptune “Neppy”! Yet, (I’m assuming Maho’s sister) is just called “the goddess”. CAP! No wonder I’m having so much trouble. They’re intentionally leaving info out T_T. It should be easy to find out what her name was and what she looked like. She’s not Uranus, she just died! (Well, in CPU terms that is)
I don’t want to say that’s a plot hole… But our candidates are VERY obviously related to their older sisters. If Maho looks remotely like her sis, someone should have put it together by now.

13:39 VERTY! (sprays her with a spray bottle)
Everyone showing up at an event in cpu forms was a great idea.
QOTD I always trust Neptune and Vert. The only thing is I trust Neptune's CPU form a little more than her regular form.

QOTD: Definetly, those two would actually be the best leaders if they were always transformed, at least in my opinion

*1. (**8:00**)* Nepgear finally got back at Compa for that "You can use medicines to kill people and make it look like an accident! 😀" comment she made back in _mk2._ 😂
*2. (**16:20**)* I remember once seeing someone on the _Neptunia_ subreddit theorize that the reason Purple Heart looks bustier in her second processor outfit is because it essentially has a built-in push-up bra. Notice how _Re;Birth1_ Purple Heart's chest is noticably... saggier, for lack of a better term.
*3. (**14:50**)* As if it wasn't obvious enough that some of these reused assets _really_ need to be updated...
*4. (**19:50**)* Yeah, it was mentioned back in _mk2/R;B2_ that civilians supposedly don't know the CPUs' human forms (back when the main four were rescued from the Graveyard, 5pb. mentioned that she didn't recognize them), but I'm pretty sure at this point, their human forms and names are public knowledge. Remember Neptune's dream from _VII?_
*5. (**27:40**)* Correction: this series doesn't have a big presence on mobile *_in the west._*
I've honestly lost count of how many Japan-only mobile games Compile Heart has had a hand in.
    *(QotD)* Nep yes, Vert no.
Neptune and Purple Heart are essentially two different people, while Green Heart is just the same as Vert, she's just not as in-your-face about it.
Vert trying to steal Nepgear: 😘😍🥰🥺😭😩🥵
Green Heart trying to steal Nepgear: 😉😏🤭😇

QotD: Honestly, even non-transformed Neptune would be a step forward. Theoretically and ideally, I would totes trust Green Heart.
5:50 I'd wholeheartedly agree, but with one caveat. It's fairly easy to fall into same pit when people don't realize the true reason: the world needs the strife, conflict, competition. Let's say, for today Neptune becomes obsolete, she can't catch up with new tech, and she doesn't give people of Planeptune what they need now. And Nepgear is young, modern, and people want her. For tomorrow, Neptune can safely retire and live in retirement home together with Rei Ryghts, and Planeptune will be still happy with Nepgear. But again, what of 100 years from now? What of 1000 years from now? Eventually any Candidate will become old, obsolete and unwanted. However, not all Planeptuneans will realize that in time, because they will be stuck in the era of Neptune. It's like, people still compare their SATA SSD with HDD and think they are high-end, while newest NVMe are faster by the same magnitude. Or think of FullHD as of wide and large. And that's the paradoxical tragic truth of Planeptune: the more happy people would be with Nepgear, the more damned to destruction it will become. Even when Nepgear stops being young and fresh, nobody will say "Neptune was better", nobody will say "we want new tech", nobody will say "we want new CPU". The only thing they can say is "hey, but Lastation evolves and we like what they provide, can we do something about this?".
At some point everyone, even antique senile entities like Rei and Kurome, were young and progressive. But it's important to look around and ask yourself at least once in few years: are they still keeping up with the times? And "am I?".
8:05 ...And this is exactly what happens when you put too much of unconditional faith into a single entity. Such a great and progressive idea coming from hi-tech expect. At least it's still better than Neptune's lazy reign, right?
8:40 I love how relieving and intimidating this line is at the same time. Nepgear never says "No, of course not, I know it's immoral!" or "I would never do such inhumane things!", or at least "Right, maybe it's a bad idea after all...".
She says "A Goddess has her limits, after all.". This is her reasoning: she doesn't have authority in Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox; and she doesn't even have any emergency rights and absolute power in Planeptune. But if somehow these limits could be lifted, or if she can become something more than mere Goddess... It's all for the grand ideal of saving Gamindustri, after all.
12:38 Pretty sure it's either Blanc's room or Blanc's office room; Ram&Rom's room has separate background. There were a few shots in the anime as well.
However, their rooms have similar basis, so in theory you can connect them into one, with drastically different halfs and even different windows on the same wall. But according to the story, it's not the case.
Still, it's interesting how Sisters VS Sisters added a whole third dimension to these rooms, none of them feel like a flat background anymore.
19:00 I highly recommend to not spoil yourself about ending requirements (events, shares, choices or anything else) and ending differences (including the divergence points) at least for the first playthrough, and probably for the second. Just like Re;Birth2, this game naturally gives what player deserves for their blind decisions.
21:30, 21:50 Exactly! Which raises the question: why? If we assume that Nepgear of Hyperdimension was born because people of Planeptune wanted a sane, normal, competent Goddess... What the Neptune's predecessor did to ensure a demand for someone like Neptune?
22:55 I guess Nepgear still suspects that there are remnants of ASIC in Planeptune.
25:35 Perhaps Neptunia's initial idea was about the fight against piracy, and this conversation reflects the changes that happened in our PC Continent counterpart? Indeed, there was an era when piracy was not just strong, it became exponentially stronger because of how Makers attempted to fight against it. When even after buying physical CD you have to register and activate it online, install "protection" bloatware, keep the CD inside, and get no patches; it's only natural to prefer downloading games online just to play it comfortably. Steam flipped that over, and now most people prefer to pay - again, just for more comfortable experience. Google Play plays the same role on Android, it's easier to use it than downloading apks elsewhere. IF and Compa acknowledge that, so they keep releasing the new games on Steam (even though, let's be real, Arfoire got every Neptunia game in her hands so far).
32:28 A perfect question to describe the whole plot flow. It's a polar opposite of how straightforward most previous games were; they never tell any important fact as is and in details. The intro cutscene had crucial event and we still don't know *enough* about the characters. Ashen Goddess told Nepgear that she is... Perhaps, we'll never know. After CPU squad went to PC Continent, literally everyone was there but we still don't know what happened 2 years ago. Even when Histoire told Nepgear that Neptune is gone, the scene ended immediately with timeskip. We don't see Nepgear's face, we don't hear a single sound from her: it just fades out, and the next moment she is in her room, refusing to go out and talk to anybody, in a mood for a stroll completely alone. This is the beauty of this story, the implications are incomparably stronger than any CG. Even in terms of environmental storytelling, they could just write Uzume's name somewhere, or put her whirly symbol, or a sock, or console; but instead there was just a half-empty room with orange bed. Nothing in the game will hint towards this room, nothing will hint towards its meaning. Even the game name is not explained. We're already at chapter 6, and there's no sudden reveal, no hidden mastermind; just jigsaw pieces of neverending sky with crimson clouds surrounding Nepgear and her team.
33:12 (obviously, avoid googling sprites before clearing the game) Not quite sure how you see HDMI specifically in her cable. To me it looks more like USB type C, or just some fictional cable.
37:00 Theorycrafting about PC and/or smartphones might be easier if you consider that Hyperdimension is not a direct projection of the real situation. Which, in general, is obviously the case, otherwise they would be no Neptune and Nepgear in the first place.

Yeah there are many endings base on shares, You can lower your shares if you lose battles. Sidequest, and beating up monsters and your shares goes up.

QotD: Oh definitely! Specially Neptune. 😂 Not trying to throw shade at my girl, of course but her lack of focus in her normal form definitely hinders her leadership abilities. Vert too, though I like to think that the older games where Vert is a little bit more mature, even in her normal form could be a decent leader but that's just going off of a memory. Could be wrong there.

Sweet for Vert to say that Nepgear can think of Vert's place as her own home. ;P I know that Neptune is Nepgear's sister, but why not be comfy with both.. ;P

Anri is right, people tend to favour the things that are most convenient.
Also, just in case, don't let Nepgear anywhere near nanomachine development, XD
QotD: For sure! In my opinion, Purple Heart has more than demonstrated she can rule very well, and pretty much the same goes for Green Heart

I would think the hand helds(canidates) would be tablets or laptops rather then Phones. We do have a phone content(Hallo Content) west of Planeitune, so it would make more sense for their cpus to be base of off phones.

If I were to hazard a guess, it's possible that the writers originally decided to separate CPUs from Candidates based on the difference between console games and handheld games, especially back then (2011).
Take Nintendo, for example. Back then, there was a noticable difference between the types of games that released on the Wii and the types of games that released on the GBA and the DS. Mostly performance and graphics-wise, obviously, but also in terms of gameplay and such.
But that difference doesn't really exist between home computers and laptops/tablets, especially these days, which is my theory as to _why_ the PC Continent's Candidate apparently represents smartphones, since there _is_ a difference in the types of games you'll get on a smartphone, and modern phones can be thought of as "small, portable computers", so the connection still works.

I know you don't have time now or soon, but do you plan to play Stellar Blade? I think you'd like it. It's the same team as Nikke.
