If you have a gen 1 chevy cruze with a 1.4 turbo motor and love turbo noises heres a video on how to make your regular bov sound like a real turbo fluttering jdm
Hey just doing an update, this isnt great for your turbo it will lreduce turbo lifespan as it vents the excess pressure thru the turbo instead of intake
Cold air intakes are fine for engines it actually helps them. But, DO NOT unhook the hose from the bypass valve. It will cause your Intercooler and the rest of the system to become over pressurized.
This is correct. You can run it unhooked but it will reduce the lifespan of the turbo as it is venting excess pressure back through the turbines instead of to the intake.
No it won't, in fact if you measure pressure in the piping with and without a valve they both have a spike and that spike is not so large it would damage anything, at worse it will blow off a loose pipe.
It's just venting the boost to the atmosphere, but the flutter it boots pressure, getting shoved back into the compressor, which can damage the turbine
Thank God someone responded lol, unrelated note noticed my car being weird (turbo wise). Made more noise than usual, get a check engine light auto zone says its my turbo (had it replaced last year 😢) few days later code is gone but noise is still there I can hear the turbo more. Remembered this exact video Check the car once I'm off work sure enough my like had came loose somehow but was wondering Iike huh would it have been bad or fine if left off lol

If you want the Stu Stu Stu sound instead of the pshhh then just buy a different bypass valve and get a tune

Isnt it bad for the turbo tho or will it cause any issues?

That tube is there for a reason, no? Does removing it cause issue?
I have the 2nd gen i can’t find the hose location
pretty sure this is not good for the turbo or engine
Don’t do this
Nah stututu is life.
