thank you for the review i am currently looking at this panel as i returned that lg you talk about. Lg software on new tvs is horrific it detects you have a pc and lock's you out of options.
It took me a hour on the lg tv to get rid of all the auto ai crap aswell as carrot people/dark images.The power saving crap always had panel brightness to low unless you went vivid.
lg hardware is great but software is 8x worse than windows 11.
Is this monitor OLED like the FO48U?

Heavly considering the purchase of this monitor for music production usage and have zero interest in using any of the entertainment apps.
Keep seeing these reviews about the monitor not allowing consumers to initially set it up without an internet connection.
Dont know if this is true since i dont have one to confirm this behaviour however if it does do this i would be pissed beyound believe.
I would immediatly return the monitor but not before creating some videos of the monitors behaviour and linking the video to Gigabytes official youtube and facebook pages and whatever youtube pages with high subcribers counts promoting the monitor.

I've been looking to get a large 4k monitor atleast 55+. This monitor has more options and a fraction the cost of the other manufacturers like Phillips, Dell and others. It makes me suspicious.
I think it's been around for quite a while, it hasn't received much attention and traffic and I think that gigabyte are looking to push as many as they can.
When you said 1100 pounds I thought that was its weight for a second. 🙂

oh no ... the Android OS is actually a disappointment ... I am looking for some good 55" dumb screen without a TV tuner ...preferably oled or at least something with local dimming
I am aware of some Alienware ... but it ridiculously more expensice than quality TVs
A lot of people seem to agree with that. I think it's stuck in this weird middle ground of too big for a monitor so it needs to be as close to a TV as possible.

Me, having a Xiaomi Phone with IR blaster: errr... actually not.
Put it on 4096x2160 for more clear resolution......not the CRAP 3096x2160 they pushed on us. I got the same specs and almost 99% blacks as OLED tv without the fear of Ghosting or Burninfor $700 Hisense 55" TV Mini LED also has 144Hz native, 10 Bit, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ HDMI 2.1, Subwoofer, FREESYNC also supports GSync......my PC is Happy after switching from Samsung G9.
