- I finally pulled the trigger on an electric car...
This is the Porsche Taycan Turbo S. It was a tough choice between this and a Tesla (both are awesome cars). The Tesla has a lot more in terms of autonomous tech/software where the Taycan leans into Porsche's racing heritage/feel. The Taycan Turbo S is likely a touch faster around a race track compared to Tesla's current performance model as well (if that matters to you).

Model S is the technology car, Taycan Turbo S is the DRIVER'S car 😍😍
Taycan has way better technology than a Tesla. The only thing a Tesla beats a Taycan in is Range and more power stations to charge... Otherwise a Telsa gets killed in everything els.

sadly it seems like people are less interested in driving nowadays. I guess i got lucky by being a 22 year old that is also a car enthusiast. Thankfully tho, i think there will always be a car for the enthusiast because tesla is all the rage rn but porsche is showing us that not all electric car people want the steering wheel removed. I would be very interested to see what happens if Porsche makes an electric 911 which would most likely compete directly with the tesla roadster (whenever we see that). I wanta see the track times for those 2 somewhat hypothetical cars... i bet money the porsche is faster

As a german who is in love with Porsche since a kid there is only one choice when i saw the mission e for the first time at its primiere 2015 in Frankfurt i could not belive it it looked like a starship. Never before we saw something like that its a masterpiece. This car was the reason why i applied after school at Porsche. But to all the Tesla fan boys as we all saw the mission e for the first time we thougt this is the end of tesla but we have to say you keeping up quiet well and even beat the porsche in some areas what nobody thougt but for me there is only one car
The only area that Porsche gets beaten in is price. Rent a Tesla, buy a Porsche.

@@AS-gx4qg It's not an equal comparison. The best comparison would be the Roadster, and even that doesn't work the same. Porsche is still mainly a performance vehicle entering the electric market. Tesla is an electric vehicle entering the performance market.
The market for them is changing rapidly, but right now they're still a little too expensive for me.

More complexed issue is why to buy Porsche above Tesla... Both are great, both super expensive, but Tesla don't give you that expensive appereance like Porsche do... Thats the main reason why someone would buy this car before Tesla 🤷🏻♂️
