This is not like the formula paintings Bob Ross created that so many artists around the world have come to love. My painting style is based on principles professional artists use like abstract color shapes, edge quality for greater realism, shadow and highlight, color theory or convincing color relationships and establishing correct values throughout the painting.

    About the Artist:
Learn from impressionist/realist Bill Inman as he demonstrates how to breathe life into loose abstract color masses.
For more than 30 years he has been selling his work through galleries around the country as a full time artist.
He is classically trained with years of still life, figure and head drawing from life; advanced pastel, watercolor and oil painting in the studio and on location and holds an MFA in studio painting.
He is a recipient of the Congressional Art Award, has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine and has his work in collections around the world.
These colors and techniques generally apply equally well with oil or acrylic paint.
"My goal is to help viewers feel like they are looking out a window or doorway into a beautiful scene, one that beckons to forget the world a while and simply enjoy the peace and serenity, the incredible beauty Heavenly Father has provided."
Bill and his beautiful wife Kristie have 7 children and several grandchildren. "They are my deepest source of joy and inspiration!"
    Enjoy, and Happy Painting!!

i am horrible at this. i usually wait until the paint dries and i scrap it off the glass. i put brushes in Turpenoid as it will break down dry oil paint as well and it isn't harmful at all. so i throw a bunch of brushes in there and clean them in bunches. oh sweet, i am already doing what you are lol. i did not expect that!

Hi Bill, I just discovered your CZcams channel! I have a small area in my rec room, that I could set up a little painting space in, so I was wondering if you could advise me on what are the absolute essential furniture or equipment I would need to set up a painting studio on a budget? I've already got an easel, palette, brushes, jars for oil and solvent but it still feels like I'm missing something! What kind of table do I need or do I not need one? I'm looking at your space here and you've got a nice set up

Hi Bill, thanks for this interesting video. To achieve that very sharp edge you demonstrated, which type of brush should I order-the flat or the bright? Also, where do you order these from? Thanks so much.

Hi I can help as far as where to buy, Rosemary & Co, an English company. You can only buy direct from them, a very nice website and customer service is great. From what he described the model he showed appears to be Masters Choice flat can not say what size. Hope that helps
