In this video, I answer a viewer's question about what an ocarina is and how it works, and I demonstrate the various different types of ocarina by playing the ballad "Geordie".
The arrangement is taken from my book, British and Irish Folk Songs arranged for Ocarina, available from preecemusic.com/british-and-i...

The Legend of Zelda did not do this instrument justice, that was far more beautiful than I expected.

Excellent content! I have been wondering about that instrument. I see a bunch o ads for ocarinas and kalimbas for some reason...

Long, long ago, before you were born, there was a pop band called the Troggs who had a hit record called Wild Thing. The instrumental break was played on some Ocorina-like instrument but I've never been able to find out exactly what it was. Beautiful playing BTW.
Yes, the solo in Wild Thing is on a transverse ocarina.
that arrangement was beautiful! can I download it somehow?
Thanks! There isn't a download at the moment, but I am working on that and hope to have something available later this year!
This instrument was also used to play the tuba for Lugia’s main theme.
I bought the night one. Did I do good?
needs a lil more editing to help people understand all the mechanisms and everything youre explaining
