Als 1982 in der südbadischen Provinz ein paar junge Rebellen die Band Knight Of Demon gründeten, konnten sie nicht ahnen, dass sie dreieinhalb Jahrzehnte später als eine der erfolgreichsten Thrash-Metal-Bands gelten und nach wie vor gemeinsam die Bühne rocken würden. Kaum eine Band zelebriert das Metal-Image so genussvoll wie Destruction. Ihre Outfits und ihr Auftreten lassen kein Metal-Klischee unbedient - und genau dafür lieben ihre Fans sie.
Ihre musikalische Inspiration holten sich Destruction von Motörhead. Bereits ihr Debütalbum "Sentence To Death" sorgte für den internationalen Durchbruch. 1987 ging dann für die Musiker ein Traum in Erfüllung, als sie mit ihren Idolen von Motörhead eine gemeinsame Tour starteten. Doch nur zwei Jahre später folgte dann der Schock: die Auflösung der Gruppe.
Ganze zehn Jahre mussten die Fans auf die Wiedervereinigung warten, die gebührend mit einem knalligen Reunion-Album gefeiert wurde. Mit "All Hell Breaks Loose" legte die Band einen deutlich komplexeren, reiferen Stil an den Tag, ohne jedoch die Explosivität ihrer frühen Jahre aufzugeben. Schillernde Beispiele hierfür sind vor Energie strotzende Tracks wie "The Butcher Strikes Back" - brutalste Riffs und unaufhörlich pumpende Drums sorgen hier für den ultimativen Kick.

My band used to play a bunch of DESTRUCTION songs before anyone knew who they were and people just assumed they were our songs. We played the first Slayer,Destruction,Metallica albums before they were well known. Great times!

ch bin so dankbar in dieser Zeit aufgewachsen zu sein. Den spirit von damals kann man einfach nicht in worte fassen, man mus ihn einfach erlebt haben un es war jede synapse wert die ich mirabgeschossen habe.

So much different than the Thrash Metal that came out during the same time here in USA on both coast . I personally really like Destruction along with SODOM ( especially ) . I've seen Kreator in Hollywood back in 2003 and I can tell you their records dont do them justice .
Where is first solo on life without seance?,that is the best part of the song.
As everybody knows the flames are not visual effects... back in the days it was common to become hungry when in the front row... so fans could bring their own sausages and grill them when needed...
