  • Hey Everyone,
    In this video series I explain how I ended up taking a 3rd grade teaching position in Saudi Arabia, reactions from friends and family, my initial concerns, and what life was like living there. These are my reflections and personal experiences while in the Kingdom. I hope I'm able to dispel any myths and answer any questions you may have. If there is something specific you would like me to cover, please let me know.

    Asalamkium sister, do you known the background requirement for teacher in Saudi Arabia’s. It’s my dream to work there however I have a trafficking violation on my record (reckless driving) when I was younger and I was wondering if that would disqualify me from applying for schools over there? I have seen mixed reviews online on what disqualifies teachers what do u think. Thank you. X

      Hi. Great question. You can set up a bank account in the country you work in and transfer money monthly. I lived abroad for 7 years and did this in all the countries i worked it. It is relatively easy to set up an account and transfer back to your home country back.

    Assalam-o-Alaikum! I have pursued a 4 year Bachelor degree in Applied Biosciences. If I get a PGCE, will I be eligible to teach in Saudi Arabia? Is PGCE acceptable.
    Another thing: Although I have advanced level English skills, I am not a native English speaker. Does this make a difference?
    Kindly answer as I am in dire need for guidance

    • @fabdi2
      @fabdi2  Před rokem

      Yes, PGCE is one of the best degrees to get you a job because it’s an official teaching accreditation from the UK. Get some experience teaching and it might take a bit longer if you are not native. Some job do require that for visa but apply anyway. Also, be open to other countries as well. You never know what Amazing experiences exist around the world

      Many places just require a bachelors. A few places may require (or desire) a masters of education or something similar. But that's more rare ime
