Jackson is my favorite for 7 strings. For two reasons. Patrick Sheridan from Fit for an Autopsy, and Mike Stringer from Spiritbox.
Also SHEEEEESH that finish looks amazing. Love it.
I got a juggernaut 7 and I loved it so much (hands down the best super strat shape) I bought an arch top soloist 7 string just a few months later. They’re all I play now

This guitar is the showstopper Andrew, and no matter which guitar you seem to demo recently the Otto Audio 11 11 proves again it's the king of high gain amp sims. The PERFECT balance of crushing heaviness - but not too cleaned up so its sounds sterile and synthetic. Your playthrough examples sound killer on their own or in a mix.

I've had this same guitar for just over a week. It's hard to put down. The pickups are great, but I'm swapping them out with some BKPs. It's my first Evertune-equiped guitar, and it's crazy how I can smack the strings as hard as I want and the only thing they do is get louder but never wobble in their tuning.
Those open cores are honestly excellent. I have a charvel with them that I have tune between c# and B standard. Honestly think that’s where those open core (atleast in 6 string models) really shine.

This is quite an incredible guitar, it sounds and looks fantastic. I would imagine it feels great, too. Jackson gets some criticisms for being a bit overpriced for their specs, but I gotta say, Jacksons play so nicely. I have 3 cheap ones, and they feel almost as good as my more expensive guitars. They all have a characteristic sound quality to them, too, even with the bridge pickup in my 7-string being swapped out
It almost looks like you could use that guitar for making carcosa songs with a 7 string guitar. beautiful beast of a guitar

My 4th guitar is a Jackson, went from a strat copy, and two les Paul’s (Epiphone), to a Mick Thomson sig Jackson soloist. It’s the best guitar I’ve played. Bar none, none of the Gibson les Paul’s, Or esp’s I’ve played from friends or my old teacher felt nearly as good as that guitar does. I might have gotten lucky though.

i have a new modern Jackson js227t dinky 7 i got for $240 and it is ridiculously good for that price! i agree on the included stock strings they are on the thinner side for sure, that guitar you have there is epic i love the gold body more than the headstock though imho

Speaking of seven string Jacksons, have you seen the ludicrously cheap Rhoads and King Vs they just came out with? 26.5" hard tail 7 strings in funky body shapes at impulse buy prices, and they look/sound amazing. Ngl the Rhoads is probably gonna retail therapy its way into my house sooner rather than later lol

Until a saddle deteriorates or malfunctions and you have to buy a whole new replacement bridge cos they dont do replacement parts
One of the reasons learning to build a guitar is awesome cos if you nail the string pull and tension you can build a guitar for one job and itll always do that job like im building one 26.5” scale specially to play in drop a# since my baritone 7 is always in drop g and i only ever use those two tunings and hate how pitching it sounds
If u build a guitar specifically for what you want to do it doesnt have to have an evertune to stay in tune hipshot or schaller will do the job
But holy shit the finish on that guitar is beautiful
And although im a neck through kinda guy
I do enjoy the rounded heel with the recessed screw holes

There are way too many ever tune bridges on 7 strings… I’d much rather have a Floyd rose. Just as complicated to set up and you can do so much more

i have a really bad experience with jackson, i bought a x series soloist slat8 brand new from the official jackson website and it arrived with broken solder, a non working pickup and terrible build quality
