It will. I have the level 2 tune for intakes and it's much faster than stock

you might see more gains than me because I opted for the 2.5 inch intakes. 3 inch REQUIRES a tune. 3 inch also requires you to drill out some of the air duct area. You'll see lol
@@TheExploringZ it better not require cutting, ha. that's the reason i got the regular 3" instead of the "racing" 3". but either way, no problem. i can't wait to get it on and tuned.

Make a video with the mild burble sound test. I just bought a Z a few months ago and lots of people wanna see what the burble sounds like!!

I had an EcuTek dyno tune done on my Z with a Dynojet chassis dyno after getting a Fast Intentions x-pipe dual exhaust and a Stillen Gen 3 long tube CAI. I got the EcuTek package like yours. I blend 100 octane Sunoco race gas with 91 octane Shell V-Power to a 94 octane average, that my car was tuned for. We got 321 peak rwhp @ 7200 rpm and a uniform 15% gain in torque across the whole rev range, with better throttle response everywhere. I think this EcuTek tuning, with or without any engine mods, is a worthwhile thing for a Z, as it really transforms the driving experience.
Thanks for the input! I haven't had mine on the dyno but I definitely feel a difference! I had it retuned for the intakes.

I'm not bold enough to run 87 in a z that requires premium so i don't know
I thought that Map 1 was the 93oct tune? Am I wrong? I'm pretty sure that's what it says on their website. I just got my tune file sent today and I'm going to flash my Z tomorrow. Are you sure that map 3 is for 93 and not 87 eco mode instead? Maybe I'll end up trying to contact Z1 before I do anything just in case.

Hi How would I know if my car is tuned? Because I bought the car set up with catback and it sounds like it’s tuned agressive? And is it worth it to buy the ecu for stage 1??
There's a way to tell if you're ecu has been unlocked or not. I can't recall how though. It's worth it for stage 1.
Can you use the dongle for another tune from another shop? Or will you need to buy another ecutek kit
Not sure. I think the dongle might be programmed for the shop I'm not sure. I would ask Z1 because you don't want to mess up your ECU.
Can you display the sloppy shifting/better acceleration? Compared to the stock tune
I don't think I'll be able to do that. I'm not going to flash back to stock because I'm running mods on the car that require a tune. Basically, it's faster shifting, different gear ratios so it shifts quicker/at different intervals than stock, and throttle response is immediate compared to a slight delay in stock. The tune is meant for fast driving so if you drive it slow it shifts a little hard.

No it's tied to my ecu
Can you revert the ECU back to factory settings?
Yes they give you your stock map

I'll look into making a video about that. It's subtle but it really depends on what exhaust you have. I just have an axleback so it's not a muffler delete. Less restriction = more burble.
@@TheExploringZ I agree you should make a short or a full video of the level 1 burbles. I just ordered this kit for my 3.7 q50 with a muffler delete and wanted to see how much of a burble it added.
Muffler delete will have slightly more burble than my axleback because I still have mufflers but they are more free flowing basically. I would compare it to a porsche. You hear it at start up and when driving occasionally. It just really depends on how hot your exhaust is. All the burble is doing it spraying more fuel and it isn't being used so it's going into your exhaust pipe and the heat from the pipe is making it combust slightly.
@@TheExploringZ true but you should still make a video theres not much videos on the z1 remote tuning, you would have one of the few videos. People like me like seeing stuff before purchasing it.

Nice ! What u think for a 2015 Q40 ??? I only got muffler delete with performance reasonators from Z1.. stock cats and everything else besides k&n drop ins lol. I wanna do a stage 1 ecutek what you think? I should install stillen gen 3 long tubes first tho ? Leave cats ? Any advice bro.
Well I recommend going through z1 with everything. Stillen I've heard has been sketchy at times. It should give you a nice bump in power.

I am not sure I still have the stock y pipe. I am sure it will provide gains but minimal at best.

Eco is designed for 87 at least from z1 it is. It will cut power since the 370z isn't designed to run 87. I'll never use 87 unless it's an emergency on a roadtrip or something. I'd rather not experience engine knock.
@@TheExploringZOkay gotcha, i’m looking to get the level 1 tune for now. I was asking though, if I use 93 or 91 and I switch to ECO map, will the car help save gas on those octanes or do I have to use 87 and use that map. Like will anything happen if I’m on 91/93 for example and I use eco map?
If you have higher octane fuel like 91 or 93 and you switch to 87 you shouldn't have issues with knock because higher octane is the resistance to knock rating. 87 will cut overall power by adjusting timing and other variables which might help save fuel but I wouldn't recommend using it unless you have to. I've never used it and I don't plan to. If you put 87 in and you are on the 91 or 93 map then you'll experience knock which is not good for your engine. It will expect higher compression and resistance to combustion and temperatures etc. You could seriously damage your engine components.

What did you contact the tuner with? I’ve tried emailing but he literally will not respond to the question about my car detecting knock at 6000+ Rpm’s. Sent 2 emails in the past two weeks and nothing
Use the ecutek app and when you send a log to z1 motorsports it will allow you to attach a message
I’ve had the same issue with knock, from 1-2.5k rpm while accelerating I get valve clatter issue after getting the z1 level 1 tune. They have sent me multiple new rom files to try but none have really worked.. little pissed off lol
Not sure what is up with your tune but they increased fuel to fix my issue and cool the cylinders.

No just purchase a tune from z1 and it comes with the dongle and instructions.
I have the Thornton stage 2 suppose to give me 40 more hp haven’t gone all the miles it told me too yet hope it works
I bought this same tune for my 350z HR, Works great, never had a check engine light though. No engine knock, just simple performance and burble tune with an 87 octane and security map. 8/10. I would like to know if you could maybe tune it yourself if possible?
I'm sure you can tune it yourself. I did some custom tuning on my previous car

How Many Hp Is Gained From This Tune? I Have A 2016 370z I Only Have K&N Drop In Air Filters.
I haven't had it dyno tested but you can definitely feel it. It's more torque for sure.

About 10-15 I would say. Maybe 20. Coupled with intakes and exhaust it's worth it.

Tuning the ecu technically does but most dealerships won't check .

They give you your original stock map to use if you want to revert back

Videos of the tune and burbles while driving!!
The tune itself won't show much while driving it just shifts a little sooner than stock and it's a bit smoother and predictable. I can't really show improved torque and horsepower on camera. The burbles are very mild and you really only hear it at start up and occasionally when driving but it seems like it doesn't really happen on deceleration like it did on my subaru. Tapping the throttle doesn't make it pop at least from what I can hear. There is an option for a more aggressive burble but you need high flow cats or catless for it. Mine I wanted to keep mild for now to make the car have some character without being obnoxious. However, this is only the start of my build for this car.
