Hurricane Idalia makes landfall in Florida

Hurricane Idalia made landfall in the Big Bend region near Keaton Beach at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Idalia made landfall as a Category 3 storm with maximum sustained winds of 125 mph.

For international viewers it translates into 201 kilometer per hour making it barely a category 3. As it hits land it will drop quickly to a tropical storm. We could use the rain but not the wind
