You can rewind the same clip without creating a copy and a compound clip. On top of that you can even create a smooth retime curve. With a compound clip the reverse effect always starts immediatly, which looks bad in my opinion. Try it out 🙂

How did you "trim the clip"??? Then duplicate?
Its also possible to do the whole speedramp, then duplicate the clip on the top of the first one and cut it on the frame you want it to start reversing (yes you still have to do compound clip and reverse it the same way as shown in the video) but I have encountered a problem in DR 18.5 beta where it’s not smooth anymore like it used to be . (You have used this method before in other speed ramps vids I think Lexus one?)

Why compound clip though?
Bro was getting problem in PROTOV2, not getting output, tried many ways. Red render line turns into blue but doesn't shows any output. and also can't apply it to custom polygon source. Plz answer it if possible...,
ProtoV2 will not work on retime control/speed/curve clips, you'll have to render them in place (after finalizing what speed you want the clip to be) and then use ProtoV2 on it to get the effect.

Doesn't matter. Lower FPS means smoother shots for the "slow part" But I generally shoot 60 fps.

How come you have retime speed as default in the graph? Whenever I open the graph, I get retime frame, which is annoying as I always need to change to retime speed

I'm so confused. I'm doing a Real Estate video and all I want to do is speed up the part I'm walking up the stairs. Every video on CZcams seems to make doing this in DaVinci Resolve like rocket science
