    It's like looking at water that you can't quite get at the right angle for it not reflect light off the surface

    I wonder if it was under glass at the 1937 Paris exhibition - surely not

      it better is, because of the mercury fumes, they aren´t very healthy

    That room must be saturated with mercury vapor (around 2,000 mg/m^3) which would be more than 1,000 times the levels considered immediately dangerous to life and health (10mg/m^3)

      Where are they venting this poisonous vapor? Or is the room sealed? What happens if they need to do maintenance?

      thought the same thing, and the class isn´t fully sealed

      It's not that big, but of course glass is necessary

      It's behind the glass, so no problem. Museums are not dangerous ;)
