G.F. Händel - SARABANDE in D MINOR (Arranged for Organ) [Hauptwerk // Noordbroek]

- In this video you can hear my rendition of Händel's “Sarabande in D minor” played on my Hauptwerk organ. I have chosen to use the sample set of Noordbroek, created by Sonus Paradisi.
Sometimes I play difficult organ music, sometimes much more simple organ music. It is important to have both. I think this transcription by @AubreyTucker is very well crafted and I often play his great work.
The Sarabande by Händel is very well known and The sarabande was used throughout much of classical music, especially in the baroque era.

Very nice, Philip. It has a very pleasant heaviness and bittersweet aura. I find these moments of ebbing and rebounding towards the end particularly appealing due to the subtle registration changes.

@@philipaggesen I actually use PiaScore, which is free (although I bought the paid version which is so cheap it is almost free)! But it is similar and you can use gestures to turn pages / put cuts and repeats in. I love it!

There is a certain chord progression from C to Gm. That must almost certainly be the place where your hear 👂 it ☺️
