So it turns out the Brisbane isn't yet available in the Armoury for coal, but according to WG it will be. Eventually. At some point. Maybe.
When I heard you say it was available in the armory for coal. I ran upstairs to my PC to buy it...

Why Wargaming are neglecting the Commonwealth line and hide them behind paywalls and "research" I do not know.
So regretting not buying during the promotion 😫
No great loss the dpm is a lot worse than mino I would say. Sure you get HE and 12 km radar but it gives up soooo much dpm.

I had saved 412k coal , for Brisbane , but then I noticed that she will come in future , so I bought Black same day when was in Jingles video , then I have spend 96k coal to get Trashkent 39 , and now I have 162k coal , and I admit when I heard that Brisbane is in Armory , I paused video turned game on , and no Brisbane in Armory , I guess I will manage to collect that 100k coal before it will arrive to armory :)

That performance was so incredible all I can say is "Good job mate".
My uncle served on the PERTH class destroyer, HMAS Brisbane (D 41). Sadly this isn’t that one. The Brisbane I’m referring to was still active in the 80’s and 90’s and my uncle was serving on it during the 1991 Gulf War. If this was that ship I’d have lost my ship.

Sorry to be "that guy" but are you sure you're not confusing your classes? The Hobart class are our most modern destroyers. The Perth class (modified Charles F Adams class) included one HMAS Brisbane D41 whose name and pennant number are carried by our currently active Hobart class air warfare destroyer. The confusion is warranted. We have limited enough capital cities that we tend to carry forward names as often as we introduce them, whereas it's not at all unheard of for larger navies like the Royal Navy to skip a full fleet reconstitution or two before carrying forward a name.
Personally I prefer Australia's method of associating pennant numbers with names because it reminds us that every ship is upholding and building upon the story of its forebear.
@@dylanwight5764 I stand corrected. I remembered it was a city and got confused. I meant to say Perth class, not Hobart. I got them mixed up. This has been a really long week at the salt mines first aid tent (a public Qld Health hospital, where we use a lot of salty solutions!). I'll edit the original post. Cheers!
@@Forscythe80 No worries! For the longest time I confused HMAS Sydney I and Sydney II when I was still a boy and thought the World Wars happened within a few years of each other.
Seems like a smallish world too. I wish WG would introduce an entire cruiser line for Australia. The HMAS Perth is a good ship, the Brisbane is also amazing, and vampire 2, while not a cruiser, is still a top tier destroyer. We need an Australian line!
I’m OK with the Commonwealth approach, although why the Canuck ships (I managed to get Huron) aren’t part of it I don’t get.
Just making the Australian ships more available would be of help.
I have Perth, I just about have the coal for Brisbane if / when she becomes available that way, but I am years away from the Research Points needed to get Vampire (I haven’t even reset a single line of ships yet, and frankly am kinda confused about the best way to go about that whole thing). I don’t get to play that much so I never even saw the campaign to get Brisbane and the Matilda captain until after it had finished - my fault I suppose.

My favorite bad torpedo run on your channel was way back when a DD rushed a Myoko or Aoba, fired a full salvo from 100m away, got obliterated by counterfire, and claimed the enemy was cheating because he didn't know how arming distance worked.

Damn, my new favorite ship after the Austin. But I think the ship was only a compliment to the careful risk assessing behavior.
Even if it was a slower start, I liked it. Had a little bit of tension and smart play from the Brisbane player.

Fun match to watch, especially given so much happened in the B cap. Learned some about how to use the Brisbane which, along with San Martin proves that even WG can stumble onto a few good ideas from time to time.

I have scuba dived the HMAS Brisbane, the Perth-class guided missile destroyer and not the Town Class which was sold for scrap in 1936 for jsut under $20,000 pounds.

Kitakami is super special. The first ship to be removed from the game. Wargaming gave everyone who owned a Kitakami a brand new Atago as compensation. I never got to see it in play, apart from the last test session they did 2 years ago.

Amusingly, if the Thunderer had loaded the HE, he would have killed him. The Conqueror was getting HE citadels on him during the match.
But he angled enough that the Thunderer AP bounced off the belt.

I really want the Brisbane to go with my Perth as well as for the obvious reason. Though at the usual rate of release we might be waiting until 2027 for her to join the other coal ships. I doubt I would do nearly that good though, probably something to do with the fact I'm older than Jingles (only six days, but still). She looks like fun though.

11:00 Jingles, may I please get your attention to the "Conqueror's Player Handbook", which clearly states that AP is forbidden and HE is mandatory, therefore leaving the Conqueror unable to overmatch anything, since HE doesn't overmatch.

20 torps, with high damage, mixed with DDs with 10+ fast torps with a LOT of damage (and can launch them in 100% concealment), and subs/cvs are the "broken" ships... yeah.....
