Tensions between Anita Baker and Babyface seem to be getting worse. Recently, Anita Baker has taken to Twitter to air out her grievances with Babyface and his camp. Confusion over Babyfaces contractual role on the tour seems to be the main source of contention between the two. Sadly, things are starting to take a turn for the petty. No the whole thing started with a technical issue at one of the venues which took so long too fix that it took up half the show time… so Anita Baker asked him not to go on that Nite so that she can get through her full set… it’s her tour he was just a guest… he then went on social media and apologized for not being able to perform but, he omitted the reason for him not being able to go on due to the technical issues he allowed ppl to assume it was due to problems with Anita and his fans in turn started coming after her and attacking her… she asked him to go on social and clear it up and he didn’t so she removed him from her tour… she doesn’t need him she sold out every single date last year in 18 minutes..

She said the concert was fantastic, she said Anita even invited concertgoers to come down and meet her, and my mom didn't go. As a little girl, I thought that was nuts, and I had to ask why would she forfeit an opportunity like that. She said it was because she loved Anita Baker, but she had heard things about her attitude/personality, and she didn't want her idea of Anita ruined. I believe that Anita Baker is an extremely talented individual, but not everybody who has gifts such as hers is necessarily a PEOPLE person. She was never one to bask in the crowd, I think you got a good 10-15 minutes with her before she starts feeling like her space is being invaded or before she starts experiencing sensory overload and becomes irritable. So many people have stories about Anita, and all of them sound like she didn't give them what they thought she was going to give, and once they find out she's not friendly like that, it is disappointing to them.

I think it's really interesting that Babyface is on Anita's tour. He's produced songs for her before and there were issues there (the album before she went underground).
