    Here is a detailed walkthrough of how I do maintenance on a Bambu Lab P1P Printer. This printer was experiencing underextrusion and inconsistent layer lines, which in my experience, means the extruder gear is worn out. I fully disassembled the extruder and replaced the gears with the hardened steel extruder gears.

    When you remove the nozzle or extruder you can take the PEI off and use the magnetic surface to not lose the screws, especially to keep them bouncing off somewhere if you drop them

      Actually genius thanks for the tip I have lost screws before lol

    That fan plug is a time vampire, when I swapped all the nozzles on the P series to 0.6 I stupidly plugged the fan in upside down. PETG was printing awful, so I put the spools in a dryer, recalibrated the filament, slowed down the print speed to a crawl... then realised.

    Great video!!! Love the channel. I have 2 Bambu Lab X1 Carbons - starting my journey now - hope to have a farm one day. I saw a few of your video's where you go over your Filament. I have tried Bambu Lab PLA, Overture PLA, and I am getting ready to try GratKit PLA. Do you use any special PLA filament settings or profiles in Bambu Studio when you slice your prints? That would be an awesome video idea!!!! ( I would watch it! )

    Interesting that the new part switches from straight cut gears to helical gears.

    I heard that ipa isn’t good for the carbon rods as it removes the graphite lubricant

      I'm not sure where you heard this, but if you check the Bambu Lab Wiki for "How to clean the carbon rods for Bambu Lab Printers" they say to use IPA and a clean cloth.

      Pretty sure bambu labs says to clean the rods with ipa? Could be wrong

    These models looks like very forgiving in terms of quality.
    It was not so obvious what is wrong until you pointed to it)

    For blowing out the printer; get one of those blowers from Makita .. they work great at removing dust/blowing out fans etc. Sure saves allot in comrpessed air on the long run.

    Wait what? You aren't mixing an oblique angled tooth with a straight tooth are you? The gears are a set, not singles. Maybe you replaced the other half and didn't quite show that part?

      I think you are right on all points. He does show both pieces of the gears set at 6:37.

    I got 3k hours out of my P1P original extruder, and it's still going. My first P1S extruder died first at 1500 hours.

    How many hours does the printer with the most hours have? What parts have bveen worn out during those hours?

    • @Dancyn3Dprints
      @Dancyn3Dprints  Před měsícem

      X1c probably has close to 9k hours.. my first one
