In this Barber tutorial Jay does a Modern Mullet with a taper fade on the side. This is a fairly easy haircut but can get trick because the taper fade starts to drop in the back. The first step is to clear the bulk to start making room for your fade. Next trim the top of the hair blow dry. Now start your fade. Working your way from the biggest to the smallest guard. start the line up. Use you straight razor with shave gel. Last style the hair with styling powder. This will make it pop. Hopefully this will be the hairstyle of the 20's....sadly in San Diego most guys still have the hairstyles from the 2000's and 2010's. I'm actually tired of it! Was starting to think men's fashion stopped changing every decade. So I am glad I found this video! We need something that will define the 20's.

Nice cut! When I first got my mullet I went with a burst fade behind the ears. Thinking about going low taper, but not so sure yet.

@@shrenik1316 if you get it behind your ears. Not beyond your ears. You do that if you don’t have long enough hair on your back for a mullet, then just let it grow out after that it’s mostly a low taper or mid taper. High taper is mid but it depends on your face structure.
