- So, for my German Friends I now fused the Vid of MissForcibleLive with the German Song Version together - making "Freunde im Schattenreich" from it. I admit that I didn't see the movie yet, but at least it looks very well like the movies I saw when I was little. Anyway, comment if you want at all.

It is so interesting to hear a german with a smooth voice, usually the language is known for it's gutteral and rough sound, so this is a nice difference
Plot twist, we actually don't sound like the angry nazis from Hollywood.
In each version I look for the translation of the title, and I have to say Ich habe Freunde in Schattenreich is THE COOLEST! :D
While I like the german voice more, the original lyrics sound smoother.

@TokkasAngels yeah, I know what you mean - once I stumbled over the page and its riches I really couldn't stop reading for the first months - but by now I got over pretty much most of its articles (at least those who appeared to intereset me) and by now I only get over there either when I'm bored - or in like the last days - to take use of the articles meanings for my own projects.
Especially my next big one might hit many of said tropes over there - what a fortune I must admit...

The word(s) you were looking for is/are "gruselig" or "unheimlich". They mean the same, pick the one you like the most. :)

It might be known as that from an english perspective, but listen to any Disney song in German and you'll disabused. A good example is "Go the Distance" from Hercules
By the way, I think this is the German synchronisation voice of Christopher Judge but I'm not entirely sure...

Ich hab die englische Version jetzt erst anderthalb Mal gehört und stimm' dir vollkommen zu. xD Aber ich habe sowieso an vielen deutschen Übersetzungen was auszusetzen - aber hier lag's weniger am Können der Übersetzer, und mehr am Versmaß/der Melodie und den Reimen, in die alles eingebunden werden muss.

How is this guy singing the song higher than the original? Did they transpose the song to a different key because they couldn't find a bass like Kieth David in _all_ of Germany to sing this? Wtf?
Tbh I think they couldn’t. German guys (don’t know about woman) often have higher voices than Americans. When you watch an American show and then change the language to German you’ll notice that 99% of the time the voices will be higher. I don’t know why that is and of course it’s not alway the case but like I said they probably couldn’t find someone with a voice that deep.
