Great couple, supreme acting and an excellent series RIP Peter/James

My father and mother loved it , I love it now because it makes me want to cry tears of joy remembering the good old days of the late 70s and early 80s. Miss those carefree days so much . And I really cant believe how much this show , especially the theme tune has come to mean to me . I moved from Birmingham just after my last parent died 11 years ago . I live 5 mins walk from the beach now, and plan on buying my own sail boat to live on by next summer .
This program inspires me so much to want to live on my own boat , a sail boat .
I recently got into this and got addicted. Very sad Anne Stallybrass decided to leave they had such great chemistry as James and Anne.

I believe they were married in real life , I think due to acting in this series together. Love this show although I haven't followed it , I will when I get chance, love the music and the setting and era Remember and love it so much because it reminds me of being around 14 years old sitting at home with my now both deceased parents whilst they enjoyed a sunday evening with the family relaxing. God I miss the early 80s being a kid with a family. Haven't had a family life for over a quarter of a century now .

A brilliant TV Series. I have recently watched all 91 episodes. I have loved it since it was first screened. Peter Gilmore's performance as James Onedin was a tour-de-force
I never watched it first time around and only started it recently when Talking Pictures here in the UK were showing it. There were 3 beautiful women in the cast, namely Jane Seymour, Jessica Benton and Ann Stallybrass; the first two were stunning, but I really took to Ann most of all because there was just something about her I found so appealing.
He was great in Warlords of Atlantis.
