Edna is so gracious to the people who vilified her when she told the truth about what it was like in the forties and fifties in Ireland.I am a child of the fifties and her every word resonates deeply with me.The power with which the church in particular dominated all except the minority that knew better still makes me angry.Thanks Edna for your writing.
