    Hey! Never thought about filling the spray bottle (or container of choice) with water xD. I use this too but it was not clicking for me due to the extra thick consistency. However I don't mind that consistency, just not for a leave-in. I will try this, THANK YOU!!

    Slippery Elm is now an endangered tree due to over harvesting. Marsh mallow is very easy to grow or is readily available for purchase.

    Thanks, I just made this but for some reason, it didn't play well with my small amount of leave in Conditioner. Even so I got A really defined Twist Out. Think I'm going to try this without my Leave in.

    • @LoveYourTresses
      @LoveYourTresses  Před 10 lety

      Hi love, yes it does- it depends more so on the curl cream/product you use to help define your twists. The detangler doesn't affect the hold really. It just helps prep for styling :* x

    Does anyone know if just the slippery elm , marshmallow root, and aloe would work on tangles? I have processed 3A hair and creams tend to weigh the hair down. Medium density.

    I tried this method but i used too much water and didn’t get any thick consistency. It looks more like a tea now. Does it have any benefits still? I was going to mix it with aloe Vera and other proteins. Or is it best to just throw it out?

      Florence B I've not made this yet, but knowing what I know about marshmallow root, it is key. It can be purchased really inexpensively online or at your local health food store. I, for one, cannot wait to give this a try!

      +Erica Nesmith you definitely can hun Aloe Vera water is very moisturising, the gel really is optional, depends on how you like the way your hair feels with or without x
