Teddy Bear's first Ride on a mustang - Preparing a horse for the first Ride

Since Moon dancer has not been ridden in about 2 years, we are testing to see how well she is willing to have something flop around on her back with Mr teddy bear. now the idea here is if she has any problems with something being on the saddle she will be upset and we know that she's not ready. we also figured out that if we secure the teddy with gorilla ties to the saddle horn when he falls off and to the side the horse will stop when we say whoa. this will also help if something happens and they feel the rider get off balance they will stop. in theory it's training for that.

Teddy did a great job. I picked him up before the trash truck came and he definitely has his own #toystory lol
