    I wish you a safe and pleasant journey. Jet-lag is real, no matter what you are told, but you should adjust to the time change in a day or two.
    Just don't try to do too much too soon. Best wishes...…......…………………………………….the old man by the sea.

    I just wanted to ask you what are the sizes of your personal item bag? And did it fit as a personal item? I'm preparing for a semester abroad too and I want to take with me a personal item that suits best and have no problems in checking

    • @iluvsydney1
      @iluvsydney1  Před 4 lety +2

      Esmeralda Mauleon my personal item bag is 16x10x8 inches. I bought it to fit American Airlines and Norwegian for my fights going there. Now, this bag did not work for smaller airlines like Ryanair, EasyJet and vueling, but I always got away with storing it under the seat in front of me or in the area above. Honestly, airlines have rules and restrictions, but it seriously depends on who you walk up to when you check in. I was waiting to check in for vueling, and one man behind the counter was weighing every bag and a woman to his left was only weighing carry ons. So, my advice, is you can most likely risk being too big or overweight with carry on and personal items because they usually don’t weigh them, but you never know. Hope this helps! I was able to pack a lot in this personal item. Most of my electronics, and makeup, stuff I didn’t want airport workers throwing around

    • @iluvsydney1
      @iluvsydney1  Před 3 lety +1

      I actually didn't go to imperial college, so I have no clue what kind of paperwork they require, but I would really encourage you to reach out to their international student department! I'm not sure if British colleges will allow high school students to enroll, but I know AIFS accepts recently graduated high school students and their program is fantastic! Most of the paperwork I had to complete for them included passport documentation, grade transcripts, health records, class registration, and some more, but those were the big ones for me.

      Most airlines will charge for additional baggage you bring, but my program/school didn't have any limits on what I brought.

    What a great video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
