    • Is the Honda Super Cub...
Best all around small bike ever made
Most mass produced motor vehicle in the world
It’s the machine that changed motorcycling in America, and that put the whole world on two wheels. The Honda Super Cub was the right bike at the right time, and now it’s back in a thoroughly modern version, the right bike for the way we ride today. Sure, you’ll love the classic look, but underneath that timeless bodywork it’s packed with plenty of modern features. And what made it great then still makes it great now: it’s affordable, practical, and just the right size for a wide variety of riders. But the real reason why the Super Cub was and is such a success is because it’s just so much fun. Keep on going, little Honda!

I owned 2 -1980 Honda Passport 70. It was a very smooth bike for weight category. Only mine had a two up seat and pegs. We hauled our kids everywhere around town on city streets only.👍 This being a 125cc should be a great improvement for speed.👍

Yes, I can take it to 60mph. But sad it doesnt have a rear seat. I bet your kids remember riding with you moreso than any other memory. Mine was riding mopeds in Bermuda. Most kids never experience that now

Ι just ordered mine . Blue colour.
Don't need rear seat. The only extra i order is the side stand and one rear top box ( small 27ltrs ). I own 2 more bikes. One 750 and one 500 but the supercub is a must have bike.

I see some with a sidecar attached, but from the Philippines area and they won't sell their products and ship to America. I had a Honda like this in the late '70's and drove my kids on it all over town. It was a blast, for sure. Any rate, I have driven a Ural Troyka sidecar for years, but ended up selling it about a year or so ago. My dogs grew up in the hack and I'd love to get one of these Hondas, but have a sidecar attached to it. I have this on my bucket list, but the holdup is actually being able to add a hack of not. I am basically just doing small commutes these days to about town, so this bike would work great for meeting my needs. I can't tell you how many trophies I got with my sidecar unit over the years, simply because folk love to see a dog in the sidecar. Beat out many a high dollar Harley, even when we showed up with mud, dirt and grime on the Ural, as gals just love dogs in sidecars. Nice review. Maybe I'll still pull the trigger on one of these, but I am not for the present gray color of the 2022 models available. Too close to the color of our roads down in Texas and just too easy for those cars to not see in my opinion.

The avearage residents in SE Asia are much lighter than average Americans lol. Yes, grey is bad and Texas people drive fast, used to live there too. Would love to see if you have any videos on your dog in a sidecar. That is my Google photo, of a fellow in Annapolis someone took a photo of. Him and his German Shepard in a Ural side car.

I like your review. Just want to add a remark. This bike has two clutches. One centrifugal clutch and one ordinary multiplate clutch. The multiplate clutch has no lever on the handlebar but it has a pedal which is the same as the gear shift pedal.

Nice review thanks. I have a 2021 cub here in Australia. They come with rear pegs, but single seat with colour matched rack at the back. It would be a simple task to replace the rack or attach a squab seat. I don't think aussies are less heavy than americans, maybe there is some different compliance laws in the US. I know mine has the lovely euro style rear light and indicators. But they have stopped importing the cub into Aus because they don't have ABS on the rear. Apparently they were allowed an exemption which ran out last year. Honda decided it wasn't worth adding rear ABS just for the aussie market. So mine will be going up in value!
I love it, I have two other bikes, a ducati 748 and a Continental GT 650, and the cub gets the most use. It would be great it if it could manage 110 kmh (70 mph) so I could safely use the freeways, but I don't often need to and all the fun roads are at 70 - 80 kmh anyway. Fantastic fun bike that gets lots more attention than anything else I ride, plus returns over 100 mpg.

Maybe lawsuits in USA prevent a bike with no pegs and rear seat? I will get them soon. I wish it had a 150cc engine for the highway too. The BMW is way ahead of its time. Will buy one as soon as I can find one used cheap. Cheers from Wash DC

I get my 2022 super cub in 2 weeks 2nd March 2022 with the updated euro 5 engine and stronger shocks as it is designed for two and so comes with passenger seat and pegs ( UK ) and plan on using it as a runabout as the Rebel 1100 is a bit big for running errands but also planning a trip to Scotland in June to do the NC500 on it which should be fun on the 125.

  • @ytr8989

The rear seat, side stand, luggage rack, passenger pegs, and wind shield are optional accessories here in the U.S. The mirrors are not very well designed. I’d get some third party mirrors. It’s not cheap anymore, that’s for sure.

So I forgot exactly what the max weight it’s supposed to be but I think it’s something like 247 pounds or something like that so I’m 6 foot tall I weigh like about 180 to 190 so the joke is if I had a girl in the bag, but she had to be really freaking tiny mine does not come with a backseat but I wanna put one on there and pegs and then take the seat off and put a box on there so if I ever had the inkling, I could put the seat on there if I wanted to

I bought a used Super Cub but I'm a big guy 6'2"and 270 lb and it's just too twitchy for me once I got it up to speed it scared me I couldn't relax on the gravel roads it was terrible so I'm waiting for the new Trail to come in and I'll give it a try possible?? higher handlebars will help a lot??
Do you feel like your riding a unicycle while on the super cub?

      Yes
. Some handle bar risers.. and move em forward two inches..
And raise the bars two or three inches. Would probably fix it for me.
Put a poodle noodle on the rear rack bar..so I can sit back a little bit more..

America doesn’t let you put pegs on the swing arm, that’s why honda doesn’t offer the 2 up. The trail 125 is geared a little lower but has an OEM rear seat, pegs, big rack on back, no leg guard

The 2004 Honda Innova / wave 125 carburettor models were better. They had tele forks ,front disc brake ,proper spoked cub wheels a rotary semi auto 4 speed transmission ,proper keyed ignition ,under seat compartment, double seat ,passenger foot pegs ,plus a faster top speed . More owner friendly & better for those doing their own services . This thing has crap alloy wheels useless on bad road & in jungles ,gimmicky unnecessary keyless ignition ,useless single seat only good for midgets . This is not a people’s type of cub . It’s for the latte farty cafe set ,not your real hard core cub jockeys .
