- This year's silage season looks a little different from the years before. After a wet year last year, we decided to purchase 12 dump carts to spread out for demos through the different chopping systems for the dairies. We ran two amity and one crop chaser carts on three john deere 9570rx tractors, and a few days on an 8410rx. There was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning but by the end, the team mastered the system. Special thanks to Emmanuel for the pile covering footage.

That is a nice collection of equipment you have on the farm. And that silage pile looked so stunning. Smooth slopes and nice centered it was facinating to see. Awesome job from those drivers, it's great to see people handling big heavy equipment so precise.
Natürlich ein CLAAS. Spitzentechnik aus Germany!!!!
good job! glad to see the carts worked well. i got to ride in fendt 1050 last year and that was my first time seeing the chopping crew, very impressive and professional. will have to get out next year and see it again!
Your drone footage is amazing and your background music adds a sense of adventure and drama. I love it
Thank you for you hard work and the sole that makes the USA great.
Wow what a great video, that has to be the best foraging video of 2020, NOW SUBSCRIBED.

The size of this equipment is stunning
Great video
We used to on the go offloading in the field with out trucks as well, glad to see some people can still do it without huge grain wagons.
Awesome video 👌😁
Nice footage
When i first saw caterpilars all around, i thought you guys cared about soil compaction... Then i saw the trucks running down the field !!!
le mec il critique mais connait rien de leurs terres
Nice video!
Great!
Greet Work
... best video with best tractors 🟢🟡👍🏻🔝
I think next one you should include some footage with the raw sound of the machines :) very cool
Yes no music please
@@jamesswanson7213 I agree with you on hearing the machines running.
Cool video buddy
Great video.......👌🏻😍 #teamwork
I got to haul silage for the Louriston location. It was amazing how all the equipment works together to chop all those acres in just 2 weeks.
Super video
Très jolie vidéo on en prends plein les yeux Un Grand MERCI
There is a company called FEEDING SYSTEMS LLC that started the augerless sidedump grain cart I think. They also build batch plant feed mills for feedlots.
So cool
Wow nice vieeo and thats a lot of workers
Great video, great work 👉💖🔝🏆🆒🎦
I remember the spot were thier first large dairy barn was built...it was back in 1975 they had purchased the land ...Dad and his sons were if I'm correct setting up a new corn planter and tractor to plant corn on the land...JD equipment...Won't share the dad's name but their good people..and I'm sure it reflects in their care they give there herds
Amity Technology Crop Chasers are fantastic!!! Would love to bring some units to Russia!
Bellissimo video 🙋♂️ 🌈 📹 👍
Awesome video. I chop for the riverview in veblen sd
Amazing video! It's artistry
amazing how far humanity has come
Muito lindo de se ver

*When I initially spotted caterpillars everywhere, I assumed you all were concerned about soil compaction... Then I witnessed the trucks tearing through the field!!!*
Glad to see ya didn’t have to drag trucks and fight mud like last year. That looked pretty bad last year
Up here in the Red River Valley all our Sugar Beet trucks are equipped with an Ez-tow system as are a bunch of big 4wd or fwa tractors to pull the trucks along through the clay all the way out to the highway. Costly harvesting that way. Running 400hp 4wds all day then running scrapers to clean the clay off the highway.
Ah I know exactly what you are talking about we have a custom chopping outfit. We actually chop for Riverview in Nebraska. Don’t make much money when you hook and drag. Last year we talked to one guy that was there chopping sounded like they tore more up than they made.
Impressionnant et beau à regarder
Beautiful video! Sequences are long enough to see what happens, and the music is not too intrusive. Interesting that every machine but the harvester is green :)
Well, that's prob because Claas harvesters are regarded by some farmers as having the best kernel processing (if set properly) so it makes better feed. I'm not sure what your background is so I apologize if that's something you already knew
@@ReillyPierce aha, thanks! I didn't know the output quality mattered, I though all harvesters was more or less the same except the engine.
It's funny watching all the skunks and other critters running out after the last cut
👍👍👍
That's a lot of side walls! What did we do with all of our used tires before silage piles were popular?
And on the other side of the world we just completed our grass silage two weeks ago
Wauw My Greet Respekt
John deer👍
Biggest silage pile I've seen.
Doesn´t look like a farm anymore, it´s some kind of industry. Hope that this won´t be the future. Apart from that it´s an interesting video.
It’s the dairy industry... nothing wrong with being a large operation and being efficient as long as there’s a market for the milk.
But this is so big that it isnt fun farming anymore
@@MikeBakker77 I doubt that very seriously lol 😂
@@MikeBakker77 it's the future whether we like it or not. Riverview is putting up a 9500 head dairy close to my house. The days of the 50 and 60 cow dairies are fast going away. I believe riverview is almost a cartel. I've heard from different people that billionaire business men have there hands in with them.
Ryan S what you here is not always true
I would much rather see 20 guys owning small farms than a mega farm like this one.
Well then who would buy the 9rx’s?
@@johnallen5996 LOL!
@@greggergen9104 I got a video for ya on my channel.... Kyle Bushong is a buddy of mine.
Why?
@@HNTR308 Because small farms are more likely to be chemical free, and animal friendly. Huge farms plant Roundup ready corn and soybeans and spray the weeds. Small farms use crop rotation, and other methods to avoid weeds and other pests. Small farms use less commercial fertilizers, plus 20 small guys mean you have 20 entrepreneurs. As someone who owns their own business I wish everyone could own their own business.
Thats me at 5:11
👍👍👍💪💪💪
Guessing this was around Morris
When a chopper looks small 😂
How many locations does the farm have? How many you guys milking total including all locations? Very impressive operation !
Holds lot silage we use international 110silage wagons we had four of them with johon deer chopper
Do you have a link to the amity website to find information on those double dump carts? They look absolutely sweet!!!
If you look up amity they have a website. Not sure if these carts are on here though, they were a prototype for us and we kept changing them as they built them
what is the background music of the video ??
I wanna work here!!!
Were is this dairy located? Sweet video!
Minnesota
👍👍👍🤝🤝
That is insane. How many tons are in that silage pit ? Greetings from Germany
106,000
WOW this video is ridiculous. The scale.
How many acres of corn did they chop for silage?
Hey I just wanted to ask you about your Meadow Lane Dairy vid, it was very well done, I was just wondering if the dairy owned the JCB Fastrac or if it was a rental/neighbors?
Derrick Middleton started as a demo then they purchased it.
@@kylebushong7573 Wow, seems like a big purchase for a farm that size. Very nice machine though, do they run it on anything other than the slurry tankers?
Derrick Middleton most of the time it’s on the tank, sometimes on a cart or bale wagon
Lot of equipment, a lot of people,,
for how many animals was this work done ?
Perfekt Video But i Need Sound of the tractors
To depressing listening to T4 engines.. at least they preserve the environment
Love the machinery in this video, good thing this was recommended to me, would love to see a drone shot of the whole farm! . Will you keep posting videos or no? Thanks
Trystan Schroeder yea I’m working on a draglining video and I’ll have combining corn and then dry manure spreading
@@kylebushong7573 thank you so much! I have been looking for spreading manure and corn harvest! Thanks agian
How many acres can they do in a day I wonder
Nice work.
Can someone tell me what brand of front hitch is that one used on the 9620R from min 9:46 ?
Thanks!
It’s a degelman silage blade
Cows should go wild over fresh chopped corn.
Going to ask a question here
How much does it cost u all to get all the corn silage in
With price of fuel and labor
Just curious here
Hello
Is this in Minnesota?
Awesome video! Where is this farm located?
Morris Minnesota
Where did you purchase those dump carts?...we’ve been looking for these for dry beans. Are they custom made???
Amity Technology. Fargo, North Dakota, USA.
I saw something very similar on a CZcams video but they were using it as a grain cart. The company that builds them is a feedlot operator in Texas I think. They also make batch plants for feed rations used in a feedlot.
This doesn’t happen to be the Riverview dairy in South Dakota that is getting a new digester project is it?
Matt Dehnert nope this would be at the Riverview dairy that’s called Riverview/and darnen dairy
That’s a lot of money tied up in silage making! I thought the dairy farmers couldn’t make ends meet.
How many cows are in the milking herd?
Over 10,000 at this location
What state is this located

Where is this
They are some machines but I have Class but thinking I work twice the hours to achieve the money to get Tractors . Then I'll work about 155 hours per week!
Meu sonho era trabalhar numa fazenda assim , vocês querem me contratar?
What contractor was this or is it the dairys own chopper?
Tommy Breen it was our own two choppers
Nice video I make a video this topic
