  • 80/20 Do It Yourself Rack Mounts made easy. Traction board mounts don't come cheap so I set out to make some using some 80/20 joining plates I had along with a Maxtrax mounting pin set. First I had to figure out how to make the pins fit. I already had load bars comprised of 1020 series 80/20. So the hard part was drilling out the joining plates which were actually easy. After that, I installed all the 80/20 economy T-nuts and pan head allen screws. I then installed them on the Prinsu Design Studios roof rack I have and tightened them down within specs to fit my traction boards. They worked great. I am sure there are a million ways of doing this or mounting to other things. Good luck and have fun, and always safety first. Thanks for watching and please subscribe.
Here are some links to get these parts through Amazon which I have found to be the quickest.

Hello. What do you call the mount that holds the roof rack? That is shaped like a U 0:33. Thank you so much

They are rooftop tent mounting brackets for a topper that has Thule or Yakima tracks. I purchased it from Prinsu Designs. I could have made some but I got lazy. LOL

Tnutz does not sell 80/20. They sell a knockoff of 80/20. You should be more careful about violating any company’s registered trademark Because they can sue you
