I do love this track....I've not played 'Movies' for a long time as I only have it on an old tape...lol I really must replace this sometime....Thanx for uploading....(That's if you ever get to read this that is)......................:-D
@KNAAC Of course it has more of the "Can spirit" than the Rosko Gee and Rebop line up had at that point. It has much of the tongue and cheek approach to pop that "Turtles Have Short Legs" from '71 did. This is also an early use of sampling (not counting Pierre Henry or Karlheinz Stockhausen's very early use of sampling).
I'm maybe crazy but I would swear that a frame of this theme was used by that shameless (Mrs?) Ciccone (unfortunately known as "madonna") in her video/song erotica
I didn't know in fact, but I just thought, that it doesn't really sound like CAN. CAN is a great band, their music is deeper and heavier. Although I like this piece a lot as well.
I would accuse this of being a Holger Czukay disco song if it did not sound like he was making fun of disco. The only thing is this song has a pretty dance-able groove.
this song changed my life. acid was also involved.
This piece of music is a sort of mad uncle relative to Zappa's Peaches in Regalia.
How the fuck this artist is no more known in the world? He is very good.
Holger Czukay is from can, brilliant. can were amazing ! i want more is just as fresh today as it was in 78. then it was nr1 in brittain
Had "Movies" back in 1979, what a great track !
A very early example of sampling and all the better for it.
This song couldn't have a better video. Well done!
Mmm, would love to Holger, Love can and love this. Cheers.
gotta love Holger
cool, holger - my favorite song !
COOL TOGETHER....!!!!!!
Let's get hot...in the DANCING SPOT!
Cool together!

Your video, I love it.
this is just awesome
Really, the ORIGINAL Cool in the Pool video with Holger Czukay is a true masterpiece - search CZcams for Cool in the Pool (PV 1979).
very good, sounds like czukay's take on i want more
the film morvern caller lead me to this fantastic weird song.
Lovely vid! Very appropriate and well composed.
yay
a bit of crazyness that works. Roger was part of the Can clan i think.
Only when I'm in the pool. :P
Lauren Laverne sent me here, the weirdo. LOL. :D
