@@fokkentck It's hard to tell. I've looked into the accusations. There seems to be no hard proof of him covering any pedophiles. He appears to have been mislead in all of these dubious cases. Is that true? Or did he really help pedophiles get away with their abominable actions? We will probably never know. From what I've read he's worked hard to get sexual harrassment of minors punished and prevented and have introduced many changes in the way the Catholic Church operated in relation to these cases for the better. One could of course say that was all a publicity stunt to cover his back. Again - the truth is not clear, and what is publicly known can be interpreted and twisted in any direction.
