Redditors think they're right about everything. Tumblr activism has caused more harm than good. Facebook makes us all look stupid as hell. Instagram, twitter... the list goes on. Twitch's unique thing is that when you watch Twitch chat you notice that 200 people can type the same thing in the span of a millisecond without coordinating with each other to do it and still somehow those are all unique individuals. Twitch chat is just full of spergs. It's diet 4-chan at best, injected straight into the veins.

I seriously couldn't handle more than 15 minutes, as the kids kept spamming stuff to perv on this girl (who became visually uncomfortable) all while trying to look cool to the dude (by acting like wannabe edgelords). It's kinda pathetic and I genuinely hope that doesn't represent the new generation
Whenever Asmon decides to have a real talk, he should just ignore chat until he's done. The mongs in his chat literally cannot think for themselves and have terrible attempts at trying to get Asmon to admit he's wrong. Most of the things chat says can be countered by thinking about it for like 2 seconds. Expect nothing less from people who spam LUL only when Asmon fake laughs at a video.

Man, i really hope that Asmon's streams keep getting bigger in views and stuff but holy shit do i miss how the chat was back when he had like 5k 7k viewers. I remember even having a full conversation with him while he cleared Ulduar and that was only possible because chat wasn't so full of Kapps and LULW all the time, it was great.

It's really interesting to see a streamer of Asmon's fame speak so candidly on how much it's affected his personal relationships. I'm glad Asmon is so emotionally aware and understands that he needed a break and was able to do so. Even though I've never met either one of them, I've watched Asmon pretty regularly for the past couple of years so it's clear how good of friends they are, so in a way I have a sort of empathy pain seeing things so rough between them. Hopefully things with Mcconnell can be patched up, not just for the stream and entertainment value but so that these guys can have their friendship back.
Well if Asmon and Mcconnell really are good friends, then it's reasonable to assume that they'll eventually figure out a way to settle this drama and continue being friends.

@@LazoPazo while the duels were fair fights, mostly, the fact that an audience could decide for you to be killed or not fits well within the comparisons i made. Also, while the stiff in the ring was fair, people often stood to lose or gain alot of money betting on these fights. People would not only proay to the gods for their chanpions favor , but also sneak them extra things like women, food, drink, ect. So their champion would be ready for the fight

I’ve cut off a lot of my friends because they choose to settle for less and are lazy about not going into school and only wanting to stay home smoke weed and play video games. I work a basic 9-5 but I’m going to acting school because it’s what i wanna do. They’re not following their dreams and passions and are already putting themselves in a bubble, before their life even starts! I’ve heard so many stories of my friends choosing to not do stuff to benefit them because they “don’t feel like it”. It’s an environment I had to get myself out of.

Asmon’s talk on failing to find out what truly matters to you is INSANELY powerful, and currently I’m going through heavy IRL issues where I failed as a person and lost the important things. Before the failure, I had ignored those things and now that this happened I understand what I want from life.
I may never get those old things back to my life, but for the next adventure I am positive I’d never repeat the same mistake after feeling the pains I’m going through.

Mcconnell is not a good friend. Asmon sticking his neck out to apologize for someone who wouldn't do the same. Asmon didn't do anything wrong. I watched those classic streams. There was so much potential for the two good friends having fun in classic together type of dynamic but Mcconnell always started drama, complains, puts in no effort in the raid, and is overall someone who you try your best to make happy but never is. His only saving grace is that mcconnell is SOMETIMES funny.

Classic changed wow for me so much after only having the choice of playing retail. Every class has its pros and cons... For a casual player like me it's fun... It's amazing. Love it... Retail is a disaster but obviously this is only my decision... Love the game now hope my favorite of all expansions Burning crusade comes out.

I understand where he's coming from. There have been a handful of times in my life I've felt and done the same. It's hard to go through a massive change gracefully. But part of that is recognizing you're going to hurt people and damage relationships, and it kind of *is* your fault to some degree. People can't be rational all of the time, we are only human. I hope they have a productive talk off stream. Only a few things are more rewarding than reconnecting with a good friend you thought was lost forever.

It all started a long time before the freaking ret spec in raids. They started drifting apart as soon as they started leveling. Or in other words, when they didn't level together and when Asmon basically found a new group for himself to level with, basically kicking Mcconnell out and not playing with him at all. Everyone expected they would be playing together, but Asmon just basically ignored Mccconnell once Classic came out and put him into a position where he felt like Asmon didnt want to play with him anymore.
This right here is something I dont think a lot of people realized. McConnell wanted to level with Asmon but Asmon was just straight up cruel to him (oh your 4 levels behind us so catch up to us and maybe you can level with us). McConnel tried to catch up but Asmon was on the fast track with a group of ppl that knew the most efficient way to level and they were fully 5 man grouped. You could tell that McConnel thought for sure they would level up together and Asmon didn't consider that. Than like a snowball, Asmon started to slowly seperate himself from McConnel by constantly shit talking his class, his gear, his contribution. So McConnel leaves to play horde and is not gonna try for the guild that treats him like shit (its hard to care about a guild that constantly puts you down and expects you to do something you dont enjoy like healing).
Than all of a sudden everything that you got shitted on for gets thrown out the window by the guild and they appoint some random ret guy and "its okay" says Asmon. Asmon didnt even say, hey can McConnel play ret and get gear as well? It seems like Paladini did not like McConnel and Asmon knew that Paladini was a good organizer and experienced and chose to let him handle the reins. By the time McConnel tries to come back the whole guild disapproves of him and shuns him.
Honestly it seems like McConnell is being selfish. When one of my friends is tired and not feeling up to doing something with me I don't press the issue. Especially if they're stressed out, instead of whining at them about what I want I ask them what's wrong and can I help.

I was main offtank for my guild back during retail vanilla. There was no bidding for tank drops. If something that the main tank needed dropped, he got it. If he didn't need it, i would get it. If i didn't need it, the other offtanks/dps warriors could bid DKP. I only ever had to bid on sidegrades/arms spec shit. The maintank and I were fully geared for our tier in a few weeks. In fact, i joined the guild better geared than their main tank, and watched him get geared out over me, because that was the deal. Tanks are too important for the raid to be fretting loot distribution.
What about ret pally buffs and stuff? it's not just about dmg as a ret - as Esfand would say xD
When you care more about your friends, versus wanting to, you'll just do the things you should be, instead of talking about it. Not an insult or a flame, just realistic view.

Everyone has to sacrifice what they want to do for what they need to do. Eventually the biproduct of doing what was needed puts you in a position to do what you want to do more frequently, and with more quality.

You can tell towards the end he almost teared up thinking about losing McConnell as a friend. Its really heartwarming to see that type of emotions sometimes. Idk if mcconnell has nightfall but having nightfall is insane as a ret Paladin and show commitment towards your spec. I have nightfall and now I am eligible to get gear. So getting nightfall is a big deal.

I dont feel like he's leeching hear at all. I've seen warriors with ragnaros hammer and thunder fury, ashkandi obsidian edged blade and dragonic cleaver, while the other warriors still rock greens.
Ik 2 handers like ashkandi should go to hunters, but I'm playing arms,always top dpa warrior and he still took the stuff. Now I left the guild and my char is literally dead. No real pug raids on my server

Thats because thats how original vanilla was. The thing is with the times the game has become really easy compared to how it was back then. So you dont have raid members being all hardcore and mad when someone isnt performing because in reality it doesnt matter. Its been proven you can kill bosses super undermanned even in classic.
I mean it was streamer guild he prolly just expected people to be there for him and wouldnt really interact with eachother much. I completely get his perspective, it is really annoying if your friend decides to be a burden for a group of players and that group has trust in you. If anything, it is the friend being a douche for putting you into such situation. Friendships being burden to success is so toxic and ignorant.

This is connected to the part where Asmon says he didn't expect the guild tolerating ret paladins and expected to just completely ditch them because they do low numbers. Not even consider raiding with them. He didn't even talk about Mcconnel, but about some other ret pal in their guild that the group accepted and was willing to play with.

I genuinely like McConnell I really like his personality and his content back when Asmon was playing Dark Souls he McCool was the best part of those streams I hope they talk and hang out more first outside of streaming!

Dude WOW is a game .. yes its your job u play a game to better your toon u will think for yourself and keep your job intact ..ppl get aggy but u can change yourself in the progress and all have to accept if u cant argue and still carry on u aint freinds shit happens its a game !! 👍😁 good game tho i havent played since tbc 1st came out played vanilla u have revived my luv for the game i have to start again .. thanks 🇬🇧
