@S H Once warriors get that kinda gear... it's a totally different game though. Their gear scaling is CRAZY good... but yea... normal raid ready geared warriors have almost no hope in pvp. But at that gear level, it's hard not to win.

Is the goal to test how geared each player is or the pvp skills they have? Duel naked (plus weapons), caster vs caster, melee vs melee. Use the same exact weapons, cheap as possible. No bandages, no food, no trinkets. If you want to test skills

Ignoring the fact that Asmon is the most geared player in the guild, he's PvP spec on both chars, and one of them is the most OP class/spec for duels....
His guild is full of a lot of people that are fucking clueless in pvp.
Or maybe just maybe, they wanted to try and kill a warrior.
It's also Asmongold, decent players can beat him half geared.
Anyone picking lock for a duel is dumb enough to get kicked anyway (unless you're a rogue). It's a trap. Basically winning means 1.) picking his warrior 2.)kiting/winning 3.)playing your spec well enough for him to realize gear disparity is why you lost.

Doesnt matter what they picked, warr or warlock... all these guys were 1300 elo on their bright day. And that with their team starting at 1500 elo.
I would evaluate them based on how well they perform in a duel or dungeon because you vastly overgear them. Obviously based on the video they aren't very good at PvP but maybe they can PvE. If you just want the better players though it makes sense. I liked when they introduced Guild levels and you could see how much each individual contributed each week.

Seriously this makes me a little sick - we have a Guild leader talking down to his guildies cos they suc at PvP(most are probaly PvE specd and have limited PvP skills anyway). From what I have seen and heard Asmongold is pretty pish at PvP and most decent PvPers wud own his ass. His saving grace is his epic gear not his skill. That said if he really wanted to help improve his guilds PvP skills why doesn't he do some training/help/support rather than publicly humiliate for ratings? So as guild leader show some leadership - train, support, and encourage - Belittling people on a stream for views/ratings is pretty poor show even for someone as well know as yourself.

Some people, especially achievement driven competition junkies, don't much care or are even motivated by such harsh critique. The atmosphere was actually pretty thrilling if you're fairly hardcore.

Couple points. He clearly has far better gear, which makes a massive difference. Locks destroy almost everything in PVP... I think Asmon wanted to go lock vs mage because it made him look better. Its a braindead hard counter.

asmon is just not that bad at pvp tbh. i don't even like the dude but he generally knows what he's doing. the guys he's dueling are trash though. and like... some of the mages and hunters chose to duel his warlock with 4.5k health. don't make too much sense. if he actually double sac'd his warlock it would take 2 AS crits on a hunter just to get him to base health and it's almost impossible to get 2 AS on a lock in general. not his fault that they're bad.

This is painful to watch frost mage getting beaten by a warrior at level 60. I used to destroy warriors naked with my frost mage in classic wow. You just need to kite them and not waste your cooldowns out of panic. Back then, the only real problem mage had was going out of mana after 2 kills.
ninja's all the items has insane spellpower or tanky items on his trash warrior and duels ppl in greens, ofc you have a insane advantage. unless it's a mage losing to you then jeez they really must be 1200 rating hardstuck retail pve overlords

If he was really interested in measuring the abilities versus others, he would set a maximum gear level for the duels instead of being armed to the teeth. Alright fair is fair, I know that he did not accept buffs or use all of the abilities at his disposal.

Yes, a lot of them are bad at duels, but why should that dictate if you can remain in a pve guild. Also, it must be so much fun ridiculing people that have half of your hp because they’re in blues and greens, when you 2-shot them. Hell, so many of their attacks were just missing completely... Best part is expecting healers to beat you.

I get that may be unfair to those who started playing mage in TBC Classic, but when you've played mage for thousands of hours since vanilla it's hard to forget how OP you were to warriors even back then.
