The final encounter at the Dentist and a Disaster in Bangkok

- Come Join Nong and Myself on the 3rd and final day of our 3 day trip to Bangkok.
We start off at the Radisson Blu Plaza for breakfast, then prepare to head over for Nongs final Dentist Appointment. Disaster strikes.
Eventually I get to the Dentist when Nong is almost done.
Nong then tells the whole story about what she had done, why and the costs involved,

Oh and the new veveers look really nice and natural and definitely not expensive at all compared to the West. You get what you pay for and I'd definitely go expensive in Thailand.
Your missus knows her stuff. Over preparation of the tooth is a major major issue with these cowboys in Turkey and sometimes in Thailand who shave your teeth down to just pegs and usually then fit emax full crowns and not veveers since a lot of the Instagram kids are utterly clueless.
The issue with that is that with so much tooth structure gone you are almost inevitably going to end up with irreversible pulpitis, severe pain and sensitivity, full root canal and ultimately dentures/ implants.
I guarantee you that those kids with 24 emax crowns are going to be in a world of hurt and expense in their 30's and many will have implants or full dentures by their 50's.
All just for vanity - crazy!
But veneers properly done with minimal tooth structure removed can be a good and safe option with the right dentist.
She loves them, she really spent years researching which Dentist she was going to use. She is mega happy with the result and is saving to get the bottoms done next year. 🙏🙏

Cheers John, we try and mix up the restaurants a bit so there is something for everyone's budget. She is very happy with the new veneers although personally I thought the old ones were great. Anyway she is happy and is still smiling at the mirror every morning 🤣🤣

Ahh dentists. Hurts while you're in the chair & hurts on the way out when you pay. 🤭 Nongs teeth do look very nice. I was surprised at the cost to fix your car though.- 40,000 Ouch. Thank you for sharing David & Nong.
Wow they did a great job on her teeth that’s something it’s 20 baht per teeth I see the whole top part because she said I think getting the bottom part of her teeth soon but wow 12,000 than the 16,000 baht from the other dentist place she went wow good thing she went to that one way cheaper her teeth always look so pretty hot that smile of hers great video David interesting info about thst dentist place
Did you never notice while driving about that there are plenty of dentists in Pattaya, which are very good. Anyway teeth look good and don't slow her eating LOL.
I understand that although in theory the 'Farang' night entertainment areas are under district police authority, there's so many other authorities that can visit (all based in BKK) that there isn't much flexibility in the obvious areas.
The Immigration, trafficking, drug etc depts should all inform the boys in brown when they intend to visit an area before they leave their office, but because they're all there, they can be there in 10 minutes.
So in the land where 'Face' is everything, the main areas comply with their licenses. Away from the main tourists areas or 'just off them' they're much more flexible.
Pattaya has a bit of the same issue but because the BKK units are an hour away the 'advise local authority of a visit' gives them an hour plus warning.
Or maybe the guy that told me was spinning a yarn...

Excellent vlog. Thx for the in depth look at the dentist. Here in Australia each crown is $2100 aud. I had 7 teeth done and it cost me $ 16000 aud. I know where to go next time.

Nongs Dentist is near the first hotel I stayed in back in 87.
That area has changed beyond all recognition.
Although I guess that's true of almost all BKK... and TH.

They look great. Loved her laughing at the old tooth hurty gag. My missus is HK Chinese and when I told her that she was howling and telling absolutely everyone she knows even though they are all Chinese too and it's kind of racist but she thinks it's hilarious so clearly I'm far too woke 😂 She loves the Chinese chef complaint / compliment one too - "this chicken is rubbery?" "Rubbery? ...thank you very much " 😂

Legs cramps are a sign of dehydration or heart issues. Get some Isotonic drinks into you with some electrolytes and see if that sorts the issue. If not go for a check up with the DR.

No adjustment on it, only in post. I think because I tried to put the mic on Nong and she speaks quieter, so had to raise the volume in post 🙏
Nong, I’m looking to get a few veneers when I get to Pattaya. Curious to know what you didn’t like and why. Also, how many visits does the whole thing take?
Hi George, I felt the ceramic quality was not so good, also the shape should be perfect. It had some gaps. Also one tooth was slightly off colour. The total visits was 3, the first visit was just a check up. The second was shaping the tooth and installing a temporary denture. The ³rd visit was the fitting of the final ceramic veneers. Composites are cheaper, but they discolour over time. You can follow that dentist on Facebook Omakase Smile and also on Instagram dr.sato_r where you can see my before and after photos more clearly 🙏🙏

David, to be honest nongs teeth don’t look any different in the two pictures but as long as she’s happy 😊 all is well
I did think there was nothing wrong with the old ones and I didn't realise she was so unhappy with them. As a hairdresser she has a better eye for detail than me, but I can now see the difference ...just unsure if the cost justifies the small changes. But she is happy 🙏🙏

Was a bloody nightmare. I was at the u turn on Sukhumvit...luckily hotel security and a couple of taxi drivers pushed me up Soi 20....didn't show on camera but the sweat was running out of me 🙏🙏
