@andreim5973 you ARE CORRECT.....ELITE VISA is spendy!
@andreim5973 investing in a property in Thailand doesn't negate the cost of border runs unfortunately...... you'd still have to get the proper visa to stay longer term (this is our struggle, especially with the new tax law here) but buying a property does protect you from inflation if you are on a fixed income.... and plan on making Thailand a long term plan. You don't have to worry about raising rental/real estate costs! 👍
@andreim5973 yes, property values are going up like crazy in Canada, and so is the cost of living! I find here (for us anyways) your money goes a lot farther! ❤️ We enjoy the weather, the life outdoors and the FOOD 🤣
@andreim5973 You could probably comfortably live on 1500CAD per month...... people do it cheaper, some people don't.

There’s lots of older condos that have much larger units, some having massive pools, can be much better built and most are well maintained. Your not going to get all the extra facilities compared to more modern condos, there’s always a compromise to make! It’s possible to find 48sgm units for around 10,000 to 15,000baht a month with a years contract for studios for example!

This was a good walk around four places without spending lots of wasted time on each which is getting old with some 'tubers who show every cupboard and drain valve :)

Good video, good narration, the only thing I would add is where is the nearest bike taxi to take me to beach ( walking times are good but I don't like to walk all the time ) . Also where are these condos in relation to baht bus route to go to central Pattaya for the girls. Where is the bus station that comes from Bangkok airport.

Thank you for the tours and excellent presentation. I did have a small chuckle when you mentioned about kids exploring the grounds of one of them. I just find Pattaya to be just very adult oriented in all the bad ways. It's a shame as well because esthetically, I really like pattaya but unfortunately it attracts an element of society I prefer to completely avoid and it's way too overcrowded with tourists and its near impossible to avoid it there so regretfully I have to take pattaya off my list of places to live in Thailand. But I do appreciate your time and presentation 👍
Lol, I understand what you mean.....I find Jomtien more family friendly. We HAVE been to Hua Hin and Chiang Mai. We did 2 other condo videos from Hua Hin you might like those ones as well! I feel like people do condo videos and sometimes forget about the family friendly aspect. Thank you for watching! 😊

I know what you mean. Pattaya isn't for everyone... there are beautiful areas and beaches in Thailand without the tourists that's for sure. 👍
if you just take a songthaew (bahtbus)or scooter taxi (win)10 minutes from pattaya beach it is like any thai city only with better infrastructure and more western people.
you can even pass 3rd road upp and u will se more thai and normal people than sexpats and loosers
Naklua (pass terminal 21 ) and jomtien for normal people and cheep like hell and quiet
@mauritz9515 I agree with the other area being different than central pattaya.
I have been to all those areas, even the east side and you're right, however it's still not for me. Personally, I prefer areas in prachuap Khiri Khan province to be more appealing but to each there own.

So, if there's no door on the shower (or other barriers separating the shower floor from the rest of the bathroom floor), are you just supposed to be O.K. with the water spraying everywhere & soaking everything? Is there a drain in the floor in the middle of the shower to capture the water?
Yes, that IS the thought! Yup, there's a drain....often people will have a door installed (if they want one)
There are MANY bathrooms that do not come with doors or the entire room is a wet room where there's zero separation at all...... THAT'S something I'm definitely not a fan of..... because EVERYTHING gets wet!..... but it's very common here. 🙃😁 great question and thanks for watching! 👍

you dont mention electric or water price who some take higher price than government standard and some even take pay for the free tv channels and a shared wifi..
It's because the places that we have been to have been government rates so far. But you are correct and it does vary! 👍
@@wattstraveling yepp..one friend in Bangkok did brag how cheap his condo was.. and when i did check his rent receipt he payed DOUBLE electric water and even for free tv and shared wifi.. in the end it was pretty expensive condo =)
I have to ask....In EVERY video I see of these Thai condos, I see the accent lights / overhead lights FLICKERING - is this just an issue with the cameras filming them?
I don't see how people can handle the lights in a home/room/residence flickering like that. I am SO curious and hopefully you will know the answer! :)
I do know the answer, and it's the speed rate of my camera. Sometimes, I can slow the speed rate down while filming but the quality isn't that great.... sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It's one of the things I hate the most! ...... but to be fair, there are A LOT of burned out, half lit lights in some condos we've been too.... and I'm with you, it drives me crazy too!

Yes, they are..... but there's a lot of life that happens outdoors here..... even cooking....it's cheaper to dine out than to cook at home. 👍

Definitely some overpriced stuff. Especially for a 1 year contract.
10,000Baht-13000Baht seems like a standard long term rate along Jomtien through to Naklua..... that we've found so far, with the amenities we want. There are definitely cheaper with less amenities 👍
@@wattstraveling For places that small with those amenities sounds about right. Anything over 13k is too much for those places.
@bobbyzipp9947 ya, that's what we've been finding.... older buildings with a pool and bigger sqmt are about 20K baht to 25K baht.... We've seen some in Pratumnak for 37K baht

u dont stay in so much in se-asia ....i spend more time outside than in and condo is only a place to sleep maybe watch movies in bed if it rains.. shower and have ur stuff in

I would hate to live in such a small places, 35 square meter is REALLY feels like jail! I would rather live farther and live in a bigger unit! Just my honest opinion!
