- The 13 72 8 Forged Wire Stripper is the latest innovative product from KNIPEX Tools. Designed specifically for the US market, the new tool strips 10 to 20 AWG wire, both solid and stranded. The most exciting innovation of this tool is the non-threading screw cutting feature. Simply push the screw in and cut. It can also cut screws from the front or the back. This durable tool is forged from high-grade special tool steel.

I've had mine for about couple months now and as a service electrician, these are the best wire strippers I've ever owned. Not just the fact they're really good at stripping, but the durability. I use them to ream conduit, bang out knockouts, outdoors stripping wire and old muddy dirty christy boxes, out in the rain, they do not fall apart. Hell I have accidently shorted out a wire i was stripping and it even survived that. pretty much what i'm saying is that you can beat these up and they'll keep going. I Think the spring being internal in a genius idea, keeps it from getting messed up.
The same tool to strip and twist the wires - marvelous idea. I have not seen these around town yet. At $100 each I am not surprised.
As a mechanic, knipex are by far and away the best pliers, cutters, strippers that I have ever owned. Seriously I love them. Every mechanic, trades man or dyi guy needs a few pair.
I bought a pair. By far the best stripper I have ever bought. Beats all the other big brands I own. The last pair was Milwaukee which I still really like but they don't even come close to the Knipes stripers.
got these babies and they are everything you could ask for in a wire stripper even if you dont strip wire daily when you do you will be so pleased with these they cut like butter and make ur life easier
Welp, now I gotta buy THESE. ^
Just picked up the 87-00-100's, need to do a review/comparison video on them.
I’m a devoted fanboy from Canada . I recently acquired a pair of the 13 17 8 combination pliers , best engineered combination pliers I’ve ever used ! I would have preferred the Comfort grip iteration , sadly not yet available in Canada . The latch is very well thought out ( I usually drill of latches ) ! Best combo tool I’ve handled !
Comfort grips are available in Canada now. I grabbed a pair in stock in Calgary at KMS. Best tool I've ever owned!
@@Tre16 I too have a pair of Comfort Grips , now I hope they come out with a 1000v VDE version ! I really enjoy mine , my Lineman pliers ( also Knipex are now pretty much only a Badge of Office !
Darn you KNIPEX! Didn’t think I needed a new set of pliers until I saw these.
They appear to know exactly how much money I have in my account !
Available this Plier in Pakistan?Reply Plz
Finally a latch I actually like ( I usually drill off other latching systems ! ) .
That tool will surely be in my hands.
Just got a pair of these three weeks ago. Very impressive! Just as with all their other pliers
knipex strips you of your money better than anything else
Now my fave . , and 90 % of the time my default “ Lineman’s “ pliers ! Would like to see a VDE 1KV version !
I literally refuse to leave the house without my Knipex pliers. I keep a set at home, in the car and in the workshop. There's nothing to beat them.

Harbor freight!!!😂
I iam handling the project in bagalore
These are my default General pourpose , Ana Lineman’s pliers , totally dipped in awesome sauce , well done !
My favorite tool of all time!
I own a pair, the tip surface finish was rough and started to rust. I took a few minutes to polish the tip, best stripper money can buy.
My first day with these, they are awesome. I really hope I like them in a month.
Love knipex!These look great!
Excelente herramienta!
Now these are awesome...a big want for my collection!
These are hella good. So many use cases.
These are most definitely excellent! However, I would like to make some suggestions. In a future updated version, I would like to see these offer the ability to strip 10 AWG strained (and keep the other stripping sizes available as they are now, and just add the 10 AWG option to it), and potentially add a universal crimper. Then, offer new version in a comport grip AND 1000V rated insulated version. For me, this would essentially be the best of almost everything.
A true Game changer , put my strippers and Lineman’s out of work . Brilliant design ! I live them almost as much as I love your “ Pliers for Electrical Installation ! I hope you come up with a VDE version soon !
I would love a VDE pair as well, by far the BEST strippers made.
Knipex has the best pliers. The only exception could be their standard long nose, too thin to handle solid 10 AWG, but they work great on solid 14 AWG. Klein has an outstanding product too only slightly less preferred than knipex.
I’ve tested too many and knipex is the best
Just ordered mine the other day should be arriving soon, Pretty stoked to try them out
Where did you order from?
@@Nestta5252 I ordered them off of the Ktool website. Man these pliers are pretty beast
Brilliant design 👍
Got mine and already started using them on the job, worth every dang penny! These are a must have if your a commercial/residential guy
Where did you buy from? Can you give a link?
@@TRiX1230 Ktool.com took about a week to come in. Cost 50$
You won't beat NWS VDE wire strippers German made and 10 year on I still got the same pair that I use for work.
Luv Knipex' I pocket carry my 10" Knipex Alligator Pliers Daily at Work 💪
I am a pipe fitter, I install Fire Sprinkler Systems.
Knipex is quality!!!
Good quality tools !
Just got my first pair a few days ago, can’t wait to try them out!

How can got this product?
From Bangladesh
Forged Wire Stripper is great!!!
I have this version but recently the metric version appeared with VDE handle chrome plated, but without spring opening and screw cutting holes. Why?
Nice!! I need one!!
So how does this fair for safely stripping the jacket/'sheath' off of 14/12G, 2/3-wire NM ("Romex") cabling? I see other strippers with this specific cutting die built in and it its 100% mandatory IMO for a 'universal' wire stripper.
How is this different from the installation plier?
It looks awesome
Well. I'm sold. That was easy.
Please make a metric one without the spring?
Also: crimpers like the klein 1005 would be amazing
Gotta get me one of these
These are exactly what I've been waiting for. Looks like Knipex nailed it again. I've already got a pair on the way!
Agreed they look perfect! I only found 1 online store which I'm not sure if I trust, where did you order from if you don't mind?
@@ralphmartinez5792 chadstoolbox. I've ordered from them before and they've been great. Looks like these pliers are on pre-order though so they won't ship until November.
Ok thanks, yes that was the site, so hearing its safe I might also order from them
How are they? Can you make a video showing all features
Thanks for your useful information
Got these a couple of months ago only because I got a deal on them otherwise felt they too pricey they very good but only draw back just like most long nosers they can flex a bit when twisting otherwise they pretty handy
is the head wide enough to twist 3 or 4 12-gauge solid together? edit i own these now and love them yes you can twist wires just have to get used to new pliers, they strip and cut better than any other stiper ive used LOL
I’m selling some of my Klein hand tools right now to purchase these pliers, Knipex are the best quality pliers. Followed by snap on and Klein tools.
Amazing tool
I'm sold 👍🏾
what kind of screws are these aluminum? i bought this model felt like i had girly hands i couldnt cut through screws.
Gostei muito bom alicate
I really wish these went to 22 ga stranded. I do a bunch of communication cables. These would replace a couple pairs of pliers
Which pliers would be best for cutting flexible metal conduit?
Will there be a European model that is marked up with mm2 rather than AWG? With m3.5 screw cutters too?
Excellent
Mine quit opening back up,how do I warranty these out?
Do they make these in 1000v insulated version?
Great set of strippers, just wish it did the sheathing on 12/2 romex as well. That would have taken cake on these and removed another tool from my bag
I still dont get how the locating ridges work? what was wrong with old ones?
Are these available in Europe?
I have electrical installation pliers, but FWS look like an improvement.
It's the perfect complement for my pair of electrical installation pliers.
Will them come in metric versión?
On Knipex's instagram, they said that there's no plans to make a metric version.
👍TOOLS EXCELLENT. 🇺🇸 Congratulation #knipex #tools #great #quality
Look good but the first wire stripper to cut screws my Ck snips do that without screwing in and out
Very strong tool
Best screw cutter I’ve ever used ! Basically put my Lineman’s into extinction !
I am usually a fan of the red dipped plastic handled Knipex tools, but DO enjoy the comfort (Blue and Red grips) on the larger cobras (250mm & 300mm) Anyone have a recommendation on which handle type I should get for these pliers? I NEED TO HAVE THESE!
Edit: Seeing how the price of the Comfort Grip is about $8 more than the standard, I think I'll go standard LOL
I'm sure you've long since purchased, but I always pause before I order their tools and think about this also. My go to now is thinking about what I'll be using them for and whether they'll be an all day tool or just something you grab to work on something for a few minutes here and there. I also look at my hand and think how it felt the last time using a similar tool. And lastly I consider three trade-off of the extra bulk in storage and in use. I ordered these in comfort grip as I imagine using them setting up outlets which is often an all day task, and usually get sore in the hands after being on that program for a full day or two. Any short handled cutters are nice to get cushy also. Especially ones that also shear screws.
Alright, you can cut the screws, but I would of liked to see how they thread into something afterwards. Having to thread them into other tools allows the threads to be cleaned up when you unscrew them from the tool. And I never had an issue putting them into a fixture afterwards vs just chopping them with a regular pair of side cutters.
Nereden bulabiliriz
Because of the angle you insert the 8-32 or 6-32 screw into the pliers, it shears the screw perfectly and with no burr. It is really surprising to everyone that sees me use these.
Does it really cut MC that easy? Anyone w experience?
Good tool
Wow Good quality......
Very nice
Please tell me they didn't waste this and not make them insulated??
Also no crimping?
Can steel wire be cut using the screw cutters on this pliers?
WOOWW 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Is there an insulated version of this?
looking forward for the VDE and metric version.

@@user-vw8ig7rp1p this is a wire stripper and the cutter is not designed for cutting steel, use this on Cooper or aluminum wires only, or you will damage the cutter.
بسیار عالی ،اما بسیار گران
Any plan for making these in 240mm or 9" length? There are a lot of complaints on youtube reviews of the Electrical Installation Pliers regarding the lack of leverage due to the short handle length. Seems like that was never addressed with this "upgraded" product.
Hi. At the moment we do not have plans to make a 9" length but if we do we will be sure to announce/release on all social channels so our users are informed!
I like it
Cool man best.
I NEEED ITTT
The best
When this will be available in Saudi Arabia
Holy $!@t Almost a perfect tool, all it needs is a non-ins & insulated crimper function to replace several tools, for $55 not too bad.
Nice
The pliers have many effects
SUPER
When can I buy it in Italy?
En España podrían distribuirla con pelacables de 1.5 hasta 6 mm seria una nueva para el laboratorio de ideas
Do they these insulated?
Knipex. Please. I am begging you. Please release a version of these for low voltage. 18-20-22-24 awg. That's it. That's what we need.
What’s the insulated version for US
It cuts NM, but does it strip the outer sheathing? That is the only tool I feel you are missing with this or any manual tool you make.
I think you could with a little practice
If only you could make these with the yellow and red 1000v rated insulated handles. I like these better than the multi purpose pliers with the yellow and red handles.
Damn that's hot 🔥🔥🔥
Unfortunately knipex brand doesn't have in my country 😩
Great
Will this be offered in VDE?
Good product 👍 Bharat
