The most exciting innovation of this tool is the non-threading screw cutting feature. Simply push the screw in and cut. It can also cut screws from the front or the back. This durable tool is forged from high-grade special tool steel.

    I've had mine for about couple months now and as a service electrician, these are the best wire strippers I've ever owned. Not just the fact they're really good at stripping, but the durability. I use them to ream conduit, bang out knockouts, outdoors stripping wire and old muddy dirty christy boxes, out in the rain, they do not fall apart. Hell I have accidently shorted out a wire i was stripping and it even survived that. pretty much what i'm saying is that you can beat these up and they'll keep going. I Think the spring being internal in a genius idea, keeps it from getting messed up.

    As a mechanic, knipex are by far and away the best pliers, cutters, strippers that I have ever owned. Seriously I love them. Every mechanic, trades man or dyi guy needs a few pair.

  • @mostlikelywedoitservices6926

    I bought a pair. By far the best stripper I have ever bought. Beats all the other big brands I own. The last pair was Milwaukee which I still really like but they don't even come close to the Knipes stripers.

    These are most definitely excellent! However, I would like to make some suggestions. In a future updated version, I would like to see these offer the ability to strip 10 AWG strained (and keep the other stripping sizes available as they are now, and just add the 10 AWG option to it), and potentially add a universal crimper. Then, offer new version in a comport grip AND 1000V rated insulated version. For me, this would essentially be the best of almost everything.

    Knipex has the best pliers. The only exception could be their standard long nose, too thin to handle solid 10 AWG, but they work great on solid 14 AWG. Klein has an outstanding product too only slightly less preferred than knipex.

    • @spevakdesigns
      @spevakdesigns Před 2 lety

      I'm sure you've long since purchased, but I always pause before I order their tools and think about this also. My go to now is thinking about what I'll be using them for and whether they'll be an all day tool or just something you grab to work on something for a few minutes here and there. I also look at my hand and think how it felt the last time using a similar tool. And lastly I consider three trade-off of the extra bulk in storage and in use. I ordered these in comfort grip as I imagine using them setting up outlets which is often an all day task, and usually get sore in the hands after being on that program for a full day or two. Any short handled cutters are nice to get cushy also. Especially ones that also shear screws.

  • @redmudpei
    @redmudpei Před 3 lety +3

    Alright, you can cut the screws, but I would of liked to see how they thread into something afterwards. Having to thread them into other tools allows the threads to be cleaned up when you unscrew them from the tool. And I never had an issue putting them into a fixture afterwards vs just chopping them with a regular pair of side cutters.
