The most replayed section is because she did a wordplay with her ex’s name. Salpique means splash but the way she broke up the word sal-PIQUE which is her ex’s name. She also drops the name of the girl he cheated on her with in the pre-chorus in another wordplay: claramente means clearly but CLARA-mente emphasizes the woman’s name

The tea spilled in this song is crazy. Just so you know, Piqué is the name of her ex, he’s a famous spanish soccer player. So when she says “Perdona que te sal-PIQUE” is literally name dropping. Also the name of his new girls is Clara and Shak sings “She has a good person’s name CLARA-mente (clearly) is not what it sounds like”. He was cheating on her with this girl in her own house for like 2 years.

Bizarrap is huge in argentina and Hispanic countries, him + Shakira was a incredible surprise. It was released nn South Americas summer, so it's a club anthem/hit here.

Her lyrics are famous for being all related to her personal experiences. Only a few times she sings other people’s music. Like her singing “Dude Looks like a Lady”. Please do a reaction on that one. Shakira was married to Gerard Piqué, a famous soccer player. He cheated on her with a young girl called "Clara Chía" (and allegedly with other girls) so the first reference would be when she says "yo solo hago música perdona que te sal-pique" - " I only make music sorry if it splashes you", since it ends with "Piqué", his exs name, it's clear who she's talking about. Then, she says "she has the name of a good person" because "Clara" (in English it's Claire) sounds like the name of somebody who is innocent and good, so then she says "Clara-mente no es como suena" which means "Clairly (or Claire-ly) is not as it sounds", again naming indirectly the girl, Clara. Also, she says "I'm worth two 22 year old" and that's Clara's age. She also says "you left me with my mother in law as a neighbor" bc when they were together he built a house next door for his mother. Pique's mother knew Clara, she received her at home. Clara used to sunbathe in the garden shared between Shakira's house and Piqué's parents.

This song sound simple and rithymic but it has a lot of brien and thinking, the time 2:22 has significant. Ant also 3:33. This is just magnificent
I wish that all the non-spanish speakers would magically understand spanish to catch the cleverly disguised lyrics and references, but I think the translation did a really good job it's just the subtle jabs, like the Pique reference cause that's her exes name and the clara-mente (meaning clearly), because the other person's name is Clara. This is such a fun song with great clever lyrics!
Listen, the whole point of the song is in the lyrics even tough the music and the melody is so good and catchy. The lyrics is really a good description of the ex and the girlfriend he has now, she created these lines where she splits Spanish words and she can use Pique's last name and girlfriend's name (Clara) so people has no doubts who is Shakira referring to. I have never listened a song that is so DIRECT and straight to the point of the issues in the relationship but she tells it like it is. She includes lines like these " you got me your mom as a neighbor, the press at the door and left me handling the treasury debt (meaning the equivalent to IRS in Spain with a 13 million dollars suit) but "we women now we don't cry we just make money). She tells Pique he changed a Rolex (Shakira) por a Casio (the girlfriend) ad later "you changed a Ferrari for a Twingo (very small and cheap car)" Yes, it's a revenge song. She took a hard time for her and used it to make this incredible song. Good for Shakira.

At first she was trying to keep calm and not show how angry she was at the whole situation. Because he made a circus out of their breakup. Bizarrap is an Argentinian producer, he just started 5yrs ago working with his friends who are now artists and he has been expanding. For those who have followed him from the beginning and knows how he started- this so surreal.
El Quinto Escalon - a group of kids/teenagers from different neighborhoods gathered to freestyle inspired by 8Miles. It was where Bizarrap started with them, not rapping but doing crazy remixes of his friends and kids freestlying. The setup of the BZRP sessions is his bedroom and with it it's also his message to his fans. Clearly, now that his sessions has made him grow and be able to expand the sessions are no longer done in his bedroom. But he keeps the format, the setup of the video.
I would recommend to watch his previous work on his channel not just this session just to grasp this new concept of the producer also being an artist. It wasn't his intention, it was all organic. This started like a hobby. Right now, he is IT in Latin America. This is his second music session to reach top 1 global. 🇦🇷
