  • This is the full review of the Rythmik L12 Subwoofer. My apologies for my poor mic setup at times in the review. I did best that I could. Please ignore those places - other than that, there are quite a few places where the bass is coming out nice.

    Great video, Ravi!! I've been thinking to get another HSU for another room, or possibly SVS. But I think I'm finally going to settle for the Rythmik L12. Love your video and thank you for making me make my final decision!

    Thanks for your video, have you noticed any hum from the subwoofer amplifier, i have two of them, just bought recently but i have low hum from them, especially when it is quiet, anyone have this experience with their L12.

    Great Video Ravi. As you asked in another video comment, I subscribed to. With respect to this video, if you are living in a apartment, how you are managing the sound isolation? Do your neighborhood happy esp. people below ur flat??

    • @RaviKSingh
      @RaviKSingh  Před 3 lety

      Oh yes, that is a problem. The best part is - such high quality subs give you the thump even at the low volume. My neighbours complained once or twice and I managed to find a sweet spot of volume level.

      No Rahul - I havent made side by side comparisons, gets very difficult to do for subs. Unlike speakers, subs are not straight forward plug and play.

    Thanks for the rx 585 review, i am stuck between this and yht 3072, money problem
    For 44000 thousand you only get av receiver, where as for 44000 you get the whole setup
    If i buy rx 585, what speakers should i use heard about yamaha p41, but i have doubts about.
    My budget is very low can you suggest me a good budget 5.1 speakers for this setup
    I and am using creative a 300 2.1 speakers, but would like to afford a good set of home theatre, so no clue as to what i am getting in to.

    • @RaviKSingh
      @RaviKSingh  Před 3 lety +2

      If you want 5.1 setup, pick something like denon 550bt - will cost you around 33k for a good 5.2 AVR. For speakers, there are various options, if you want surrounded setup, there are speaker packages available from Tags. If you want to start with 3.0, yamaha package is good.

    How did you calibrate your system . Did u use xtz , or rew room calibration method to read the harmonics in your room.
    L12 goes deep. Tuning rythmik is very very difficult. I saw you have used PEQ equilizer in the sub...was it based on measurement or wild guess.

    • @RaviKSingh

      @@RaviKSingh rew is very good tool..2 rythmik can solve lot of issues. Frequency calculation, time delay can bring lot of difference. At the end of the day if our ears are happy nothing like that..
      Try testing movie tracks from inception, Dunkirk, Sherlock homes. Songs from Adele, kid A national anthem etc etc...we can identify the problems in the room. If they all sound noisy..

    First of all Thank you very much sir for the review.
    If you don't mind I have couple of questions ...I am taking the liberty to ask..
    I am planning to upgrade my HT set up to Polk audio .my plan is Polk S20 bookshelf pair,s30 center,and S10 as surround.avr Yamaha 585
    Sub which I have in mind is Polk audio Hts 12... I watched couple of review videos of Rythmik L12, svs subwoofers as well..
    This is the first time I am seeing someone from India reviewing L12.
    Sir where did u purchase it from?
    When u play it does it make too much boomy ? Like the unbalanced?
    I know it's hard realize while listening through headphones like what I am doing....
    Those settings you showed was really helpful
    Thanks

      @RaviKSingh  Před 3 lety +1

      S20, S30 and S10 are great choice of speakers and they'll pair like a charm with Yamaha 585. I have done a detailed review of v585 here : czcams.com/video/FKKewbgz1SI/video.html
      There is no boominess in Rythmik, though finding an ideal setup may take time. If you are looking for a great bass, Rythmik is great choice. I also feel that HTS12 might work well too if it sounds anywhere close to woofers present in S20 or S55. I got it from ProSonics, they are authorised dealer for Rythmik. Yes Arnab, I'd always recommend manual settings. Music lisntening taste isn't the same for everyone and audio calibration depends largely on how you want your audio stage to be. Its an effort, but will help you get the most out of your system.
