Tapping the power source in the rear view mirror seems a lot easier
I go around the passenger side, because 100% of the time, there is a driver driving. I don't want wires potentially blocking the airbags on that side. Also, what if a wire slips out and interferes with the pedals. Less obstructions around the passenger side as a bonus.
Good idea, usually the plug and the angle of the cord keeps it orettt tight along the drivers side. But good tips thanks 👍
You just need to be careful with this method because the way you crossed the A-pillar as well as going on the side above the windows, you're obstructing the air bag. If deployed, the wire could cause the airbag to not deploy correctly or be pushed out with it and potentially cause other issues. You'd need to pull the trim further out and get the wires behind the airbag so it doesn't get in the way.
If it’s along the side it should be good to go. Also they will pull the wires out of the headliner and side panels very easily. Either way it is good to be aware of this issue though. Thanks for bringing it up!

So now I know what the wire is that is hanging in front of my Emergency Brake. I will have to try to push that wire up higher away from the Emergency Brake.
@KurtofTrades How do you detect what kind of Dash Cam that my vehicle had hooked up before I bought the Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo this yr? The model yr vehicle is the 2012.
Could be anything they all use the same power wires. Could be for a radar detector too.
@@KurtofTrades I will post a cpl pics of why I think that it may have had a dash cam at some point. I was also wondering if it was installed in the back of the Rear View Mirror? I will send the pics.

Push them up under the trim
I don’t have a filer for the front part. Do I have to file?
It will most likely pinch the wire. It may be ok but larger wires it might not allow you to pop the panel back on.
