- Jack deserved better and now I pray every night that In Revaluation he will get the recognition he deserves. This fits so perfectly. Yes Jack loves Ianto, but there’s always a part of him that will run to the Doctor at even a mention that they need help. Because he loves him/her too.
I love Jack and Ianto a lot but to me Jack and the Doctor are really interesting as they are both immortal and would solve each other’s problem of eternal loneliness and Jack would be down for that but the Doctor is eternally friend-zoning him.
Reminds me of Jack Bright when he says in response to who are you, "Torchwood". Like Jack another immortal who says "I am the Foundation".

They have the most interesting relationship in Doctor Who to me. Both immortal, both love travelling and both want to help people 💛 Jack in theory would be the perfect companion but the doctor is repelled by fixed points 😭 If Jack doesn’t come back in the Christmas special then we riot 😂

Come to think of it, Jack never seemed to harbor a deep grudge against the Doc for abandoning him.
His loyalty to him is undying.
I wish the Doctor would thank him properly one day.
At least give him a hug or a kiss back.
