As a Jack main since TT1, I believe that Jack is a very strong, but underrated character. I personally love his ss+1 as it’s a great oki tool.
I think he is underrated online.. In tournament 4 of the top players in the world at least on the rankings have a JACK

I have been playing Tekken since the first one but Tekken 6 was when I officially started getting into tournaments I'm a nobody but it was very fun getting into the Tekken community..
His 1+2 got turned to a high high on TTT2..

This is incorrect. In T6 and TTT2 it has the S2 stats. It's only in T7 S1 it's +3/-11
So in S2 it's simply reverted back to it's old stats.

11:30 you could duck the second high in tag 2 and t7. It did hurt him as you cant cancel or stop the second one. The tag 2 overall mechanics hurt him too. ff1 an insane spamming + frame spamming move was suddenly easily stepable compared to t6 bcz tag 2 had a strong SS.
0:35 Actually, none of the tools you show at this juncture were introduced in T6. The Jack d/f+2 as we know it today was introduced in TTT1 and all of the Jacks had it (yes, even Prototype Jack, and his version, which was also Jack 2's version, was i14, as against Gunjack's, which was i15). b+2 was first seen in TTT1 as part of Gunjack's move list. The Jackhammer was introduced in T5 vanilla.
Also, Jack 5 seems to me to have been a pretty solid character in both T5 vanilla and DR, certainly mid tier at least.
Jack 6 was my fucking main back when I was a kid...looking back, it seems I made a good character choice.

You forgot to mention the one major difference between d/b+1 and the FC version - high crushing. d/b+1 doesn't crush any highs, while FC version does.
Also, Jack has always been a super solid character. Not super easy as the new version, but s1, u/f+2 pressure and throw mix was always there.

I'm surprised you didn't mention that db1, 1, 1, 2 was guaranteed at the wall if the 1st db1 connected. It's no longer guaranteed in T7.

It was difficult to counter him back then I had to use Steve, Bryan, or DVJ, too much plus frames moves forced me to backdash and play defensive and it was uncomfortable
@AJ Ye He was super easy to learn and play as well. Learn a few pokes and 1-2 combos and you were good to go.
also rip db1+2 (it was going to be the best thing happening to him in T7) and generic 1+2 (a decent juggle which he kind of lacks in T7)of this game
His throw game was also one of the best in game.Volcano was my favourite.

but against lars he cant stand a chance in T6, even it was not easy to put DF2/DB1 into lars 1,2 (Best Tracker) jack wont move against him. then the one thing was left for jack DF2+4 grab and lars also sidestep on it and punish you. Jack 6 was just a minnow against lars in T6

I always said jack was OP since Tekken 6 but no one believed me. It wasn’t until Tekken 7 came out and saint was in almost every top 8 that people started believing me and they’re still shocked when I tell them Jack was broken since T6. The same can be said about bears too
