I wish the Top Gear producers would just let Chris do his own thing instead of giving him scripts to follow and emotions to act out. He is so passionate and informative when it's just him in the car giving his opinions, that's all we want
I think he was kind of thrown down by the experience he had on the 911 GT2 RS MR Edition or something like that... It's hard to go to the normal car when you already drove the best version of it
The fact that everything's scripted is the one thing that always bugged me about Top Gear. Always felt fake.
We agree
Well said and on point!
Chris Harris writes his own script just like Hammond, clarkson and May did when they were on top gear....🤫
Porsche - greatest automobile ever built.
Lol. More like most boring car ever built
@@GOLDENEYEAL thats just your opinion
But not a fact
@@GOLDENEYEAL how could you watch this video and name it boring? have you ever heard about carrera gt or 917?
@@GOLDENEYEAL There is nothing boring about this car lol terrible take.
@@GOLDENEYEAL boring? You've never driven a Porsche. Because if you have then you'd never say that. It's a fantastic driving experience.
Thank you Top Gear for hiring Chris, best decision you made in the Post Clarkson era.
the only good decision*
they need to keep Chris and Neil...that's a no brainer. utilize Rorey more and bring in someone like Steve Suitcliff or Alex Goi and let them build some camaraderie.
Isn't it great having one of them who can actually drive!
‘Looks like it’s been driven through Halfords with a magnet strapped to it’ clarkson said this

This is the reason why Porsche is one of my favorite manufacturers. Through out the decades they have been making great supercars. From the Porsche Carrera gt to this 911 gt2 rs. Bravo to Stuttgart.

Chris knows cars, he is just epic at this. Welt class
CHRIS KNOWS CARS- that could be the name of his own show . He does much better unscripted .
should be his own youtube channel "Chris Knows Cars"
@jon doe stay positive man! Nice name by the way, it really shows who you are.
Welt klasse

As much as we all love the old Top Gear trio, you have to admit, you'd never get shots like 1:50 with the old guys. They all had stunt drivers for their crazy moves.
Meanwhile Chris Harris is able to hand it right to us himself, raw.
Umh yeah so basically hammond never really crashed then
@@giamo_co8760 Obviously they did drive the cars, and had every possibility to have an accident.
But a lot of the huge stunts, such as Hammond doing a massive slide in the 911 (shown in the one of the opening clips) were done using stunt drivers.
Meanwhile Chris Harris pulls two big slides around hammer head in a row in a single take. All with a full interior view and no where to hide.
@@TheRguru1 oh ok. Btw that makes sense, wasn't Chris a professional race drivet?
@@giamo_co8760 Yep. That's what makes him so good. He can drive like a madman.
That's true about the old guys not being able to do this. But then the producers edit the video and speed it up... or to me it looks like it is faster than it should be. I might be wrong
Can you put Chris Harris in the title? That way I know whether to click on the video
Haha
chris harris never disappoint when it comes to car reviews. i literally bought few cars just based on his review for the past 3 years. bless up
320d?
you bought the holy trinity ,didn't you ?
@@mahmoudessa9912 oh lol no.... just the normal supercars hahaha. and a wagon
me 2, I bought a Jaguar F-type R after seeing his review
Me too. I bought the 981 BS
I work at Porsche and this beauty came in today... I was stunned. So majestic
Jerson Venegas it’s an incredible beautiful machine. I would love to work at Porsche to.

It's faster then a bloody 918 spyder! A Hypercar loved by many!
... and even that was fast enough to make Jeremy Clarkson a homeless man.
Round a track yes , but not in a straight line . 918s do 9.7 quarter mile times and then drive home with roof off in electric mode. Baller
@@healthiswealth6797 918's are also over double the price and limited to 918 units. As far as I'm aware, the GT2 RS isn't a limited edition. Anybody can order one when they feel like it. Which I think makes it all the more impressive.
@@JustSomeGuyWithNoMaidens Actually, production just ended for the the 991 GT2 RS about the time you made that comment. There's only 1000 units of these cars as well.
@@the_relaxing_alley3590 not true, 1000 were just for the USA, there are over 4750 produced total (official Porsche data)
Chris Harris and a Gt2 RS, how much better can it get ?
We Need Damon from DDE to get one.
Chris Harris and a GT2RS MR: czcams.com/video/0WZ-eZZXi-g/video.html
It can't, he's that guy
well.. there's always Henry Catchpole and the Gt2 RS !
Clarkson in the gt2rs
Chris doing his thing brilliantly as always. Great work with the new series! I think the guys have a great chemistry going.
The best Sportcar in this World!
Alexander Privat hands down!
That’s one beast of a Machine !!
Unbelievable ❤️
"Driven through Halfords with a magnet strapped to it." Genius.
Chris Harris = Best thing that ever happened to Top Gear. I reckon most would agree. The Clarkson era was fine for the show, but Chris Harris added more spice, flavor and individuality to each and every car he reviews. He pours out his honesty whether you like it or not.. they guy is just on point with his commentary. I just hope Top Gear treats him well and sees the value he adds and the asset he has become. Thanks Chris - it's because of you I tune in! Keep it up brother.
"I've never driven a car that can do that before!" High praise for Porsche coming from Chris Harris. Gushing actually.
1:05 Looks like a 911, goes like a Hypercar. Best. Description. Ever. Kudos to Chris Harris. And in case you wanna why the car is both fast & cool, listen to the narrator from 2:46 to 3:16. It's all in the details, folks.
Another awesome review by Chris Harris. Thanks, mate. The GT2RS looks mental.
*CHRIS HARRIS+PORSCHE 911 GT2 RS = EPICNESS*
Okay, I'm into it. I've been slowly beginning to appreciate Porsches more lately, and between this and the new GT4 I'm really pleased with their new designs.
3 Years later I bet you like them even more lol especially since you've posted this they have released the GT4 RS
The only time i will be happy having the Grim Reaper in my driveway.
Thank you Porsche : )
Take a 911 turbo, remove the front drive shafts, add some silly wings and hope for the best. What a line Chris. You are made for cars!
Sounded too scripted to me unfortunately :( I’ll always prefer Clarkson when it comes to saying lines like those 🙃
Scripted
Guys, move foward .
Or watch another show .
Jeremy has his own show , grand tour , you can watch it .
Dont stick to old things .
The fact that this car broke the Nurburgring record make it even better. I saw one 3 month ago, I was speechless and the owner was a really nice person, he reve it just for me that was crazy (I live in France btw)
Chris is the best and same goes for the car, what a machine !!
Always love GT2 Porsches, it's an absolute animal and I love that!
He uses the gear stick instead of the paddles because the paddles are attached to the steering wheel when drifting.
Mohammad Rasoul Fard-Habibi thank you for that amazing piece of unnecessary information.
@@georgeellis4178 You are truly welcome buddy. 😂
Wouldn’t it make sense to use the paddles if they’re attached?
Actually, that’s probably true... interesting...
@@MT-qg7ev No mate because they are always moving on opposite lock. I think it's better on the steering column.
"it sucks up the world, and punches you out the other side" that's one of the best phrases i've ever heard in regards to testing a car.
GT2 RS Manthey 👌🏾 a real enthusiasts car.
@Mike Nguyen I don't think he meant that the stock gt2rs is not an enthusiast car
The camera angle from 1:50 was really cool to see. Wish we had more of that
Chris, you just took Top Gear from the track testing king, J. Clarkson.
Fantastic, I mean, bloody fantastic track burning with the drivers dream, Porsche 911 GT2/RS
Damn!!
Now that's how to properly woke uo on a Sunday morning 👏
i love how you nailed the sickness of this car!
The first Porsche I ever really, truly want. Amazing car! Hopefully I can get to drive one someday, at least!
That was amazing, just like the old Top gear - but informative as well!
*Amazing GT2 RS*
Hell yeah when I see Chris I’m clicking love his reviews
I check out the new Top Gear from time to time it never fails to disappoint.
Watching Chris Harris drive a Porsche is the greatest thing in the world
Yes it costs a lot of money but you'll never lose a penny on it.
Until you crash it)
@@vlkt282 Insurance.
They said that about the 911R, thinking it was the last true manual 911 😂
@@James-oo1yq Still hasn't lost value.
Neo Kgatla they are 100k less than 18mths ago. Where do you get your figures?
Porsche is still the best ❤️
finalmente um vídeo do Top Gear como antigamente, só eu de brasileiro aqui?
Awesome performance beast!!
The car is pretty awesome too.
"To handle the speed" -- without sacrificing anything in terms of lateral dynamics, which is the important point there.
You got to love Porsche!!!!
Damn I love that Thing so much
Chris Harris is without question, the best auto journo on the planet. He can drive, fast, race and has a mechanical knowledge and understanding with an air of authority that makes us listen and read knowing he is correct.
The way it drifts😚👌🏽
Chris.. you are a living legend 🙏
Look how happy he is
I’ve never seen Chris smiling & enjoying a car like this one ever before! That is why they say... Porsche there is no substitute!!!
Car art . Thank you 😊
This man's reviews just put your smile on your face.
Yes, I would say that it is the Grim Reaper. But I love it & I want it!
Hats off to you mate by far the best job in the world
Les essai Chris Harris c'est de la Bombe!!
Man! What a beauty!🥰👍
I always forget that Chris Harris is only 5’ 7” tall. He makes small cars look bigger. He’s still a damn good driver though. He’s been a professional driver for years and is one of the main development drivers for Singer Design’s new DLS (Dynamics and Lightweighting Study) 911 featuring their all new 500+ horsepower 4 cam flat six developed with Williams Advanced Engineering. I can’t wait to see a full review of that car. Hopefully we’ll get to see one soon. The car has been in development for years and should be just about done.
Have you ever driven or sat in a 911? Granted I am not very tall either, I'm only an inch taller than Harris but when you sit in a 911 it's almost like you're wearing the car. You kind of sink into it and it doesn't feel small at all. It's extremely comfortable and sitting in one for the first time surprised me greatly
@@Ethan-wr2os yeah I owned a 1976 912E for a couple of years and have driven a 1979 911 SC, 1992 964 Carrera 2 and a 1997 993 Carrera S. Haven’t driven anything newer than that. The 991 and 992 as well as the 996 and 997 model 911’s are significantly bigger than the 964, 911 G model and older 911’s though. One of the best things anyone the older 911’s is how great the visibility is because of how small they are. I’m sure the newer models have good visibility too but overall they’re much bigger cars.
@@porscheguy09 yeah even sitting in them feels very roomy, I worked for Porsche and drove 911s new and old, although mostly just around the dealership lol. Gosh a lot of those cars you mentioned will be worth a fortune. I'm quite partial to the 964 generation these days, I think they're beautifully made and a great modern tribute to the original 911 run
Stunning, stunning performance 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👌👌👌😎
1:50 pure skill, he must be doing north of 80mph coming out of that corner and he's just in total control.
"Hooliganry" hahaha
Got to see this car for the first time ever in Germany. What a car! 700bhp? It looks like it would have 500 max. Don't sleep on this.
those gear changes are nuts
Top Gear is slowly getting great again
That camera view through hammerhead though
There is an old saying on German schoolyards: „Porsche PS zählen doppelt!“
Porsche HP count double!
The GT2 RS shows why.
How old are you 65?
STUNNING AUTOMOBILE IN THE REAL WORLD- EVERY DAY HYPERCAR WELL DONE PORSCHE
Brings back TG to it’s former glory.
'this is a new level of hooliganry' lol
Incredible Machine, the real King of the Ring! 👑
Nice driving
I don’t care for Top Gear or Grand Tour. Chris Harris has more talent than both shows combined. I would like a show with Chris Harris, Tiff Needle and Vicky Butler. True Drivers all of them.
Yep. And let them run it themselves
No car in the World is more sexy than a Porsche 911... Especially a GT2 RS
Agreed 👌
The "Undertaker" 👏👏
I own the car and can say that it is the finest 911 I have ever owned. I started with 911's in 1994 and have owned many since then but undeniably this is #1. I only wish I had the balls and talent to drive like this dude.
What was your first 911? I'm a hardcore Porsche fanboy so I love hearing other people's experiences with these cars
That 911 is proper. Sick.
That's the absolute best spec how that car could come
God that looks like so much fun
One of the best top gear videos I’ve ever seen please make more like this !!
Chris is the man😎
this guy is a legend
I believe the guys who test drive this beast of a machine. They all say it surprises the hell outta them how good it really is. Chris Harris is one of the very few who can handle it too.
That angle at 1:59 is godly.
Very nice car. But, then again what would we expect from Porsche super cars. They're going to be amazing and all out amazing cars. (:
Heck even a Turbo Porsche 911 from the 90's is an amazing car.
It's drifting fourth gear. Amazing ;)
Chris Harris your a legend...
The grim reaper lmao 😂😂
Incredible car btw.
Saw one of these in Madrid last week. I couldn't resist doing a wheelie on my 125cc Vespa when I filtered next to it at the stoplight.
Chris Harris is the best!!
2:23 can someone tell me the background muzik title? Thank you in advance✌️
Chris Harris has a passion for cars that he can put into words while driving mega cars. Prosit Chris Harris.
Chris is a rock star
911turbo S as the daily and the GT2RS as the track car? that's a life worth living 8)
Such a beautiful car!!! 👌👌👌
"looks like a 911, goes like a hypercar"
👍👍👍👌👌👌
So much yes!
"New Level of Hooliganery" as an American, just extra delightful.
Now can we have the Chris Harris on Cars version please?
I’m a simple man. I see Chris Harris in a Porsche, I click ‘like’
They just need another Chris Harris or two and they've got a new class to carry the show for years. He is excellent.
Chris , you are the BEST DRIVER !
