Legend 🔴⚪️
As a kid I tucked my collar in like you, my mate stuck his up like Cantona. Kicking balls against the garage. Legend.
Ian wright geeeeezer
Legend. Thank you for the wonderful memories & COYG!!!!
Hero
I’m a diehard Spurs fan but it’s just impossible to dislike Ian Wright as a person
Well done for admitting that first part, couldn't have been easy........
2-0 😁
He seems like a really nice down to earth guy to be fair bud 😀
Love this comment.
And vice versa, I'm Arsenal through and through. But feel the same about Crouch & Defoe ;-)
A die hard spurs fan? Aaah man I feel for you! Get well soon 😂
What a man this man is made for podcasts, hardly scratched the surface with him this could’ve been 3-4 hours long!
I wanted to hear about his years in the wilderness when no broadcaster would work with him.
he did one with True Geordie a few years ago.. that was very insightful, give it a watch

I love that Wrighty remembers the names of everyone in his life. What a humble and decent man
Ian Wright was a terrific striker, and he has proven, since retiring, that he's an even better man. God bless you, Ian. We need more people like you in the world.

Wrighty is a legend. Impossible to dislike, and there isn't a better role model out there. Love the man, his passion, his enthusiasm and his humility. And the fact that he champions everything from grass roots to the women pros. In my eyes he's a national treasure. Oh, and he's also a top class pundit
Probably the most likeable man in football and somehow unbelievably underrated. His stats speak for themselves, incredible player.
It’s impossible not to love this man I’m Salford born man Utd fan and just adore Ian Wright massive respect and huge love from little mid age me 🤟🤟🤟✌️🤜🏻🤞
Its good to see things like this, were you can respect a player, beyond a rivalry. I'm in my early/middle ish 40's now and was a season ticket holder at highbury from 96 to the emirates move. Anyway, its funny *now*, how I can admire a player like Keane. I mean, what a captain/leader and he could play as well. Scholes, what a player he was, no one like him playing to day in the PL and in some ways, I think underrated or doesn't get the credit he deserves. Many others I rate as well.
Don't know if I'm just getting nostalgic in my older years lol but miss that utd - arsenal rivalry. Those 7 years or so, of either 1st/2nd between us is by far the best rivalry in the PL era. The recent City-Pool is no comparison. Dull/boring in fact haha
I saw an interview with Henry recently and he said something interesting. He thinks because of that rivalry it pushed both clubs to extraordinary levels and unique things happened... Your 99' treble (never repeated I think) and our 49 game unbeaten run (we so wanted the 50 milestone btw - not bitter about it all 😒). He reckons its quite likely neither would've happened without that rivalry. Its an interesting point.
Who knows with ETH doing he's thing. Arteta improving all the time... we could see it again tbh.
@@gooner_duke2756 Perfect comment. Coming as a United supporter, I completely understand what you’re saying. They were the better days and I hope we’re coming back to those days. I’d be lying if I said a part of me isn’t happy to see Arsenal do well. We’ll be there soon 😉
@@ellemarr7234 cool 👍
Yeah well, that's to expected. If our league positions and trajectory were swapped I'd be jealous. You always want your team competing, its natural.
I'm sorry to say though, for you, I think what's being built/developed at arsenal right now is sustainable. What that means trophies wise who knows. But I think this young side and the set-up now, will have us competing at least for a number of seasons ahead.
But I do think you've got the best manger in a long time in ETH and with good investment, you'll be up there as well I reckon. You already have a cup...
As a lifelong United fan, born and raised in Manchester, I absolutely love Ian Wright, both as a player and in his media career since he stopped playing. Proper working class lad made good. Roy of the Rovers stuff.
You can feel the joy and pain in Ian Wright’s voice when conveying his stories. Legend of the game
This is gonna be quality! Ian Wright is a footballing legend and his stories are amazing. Keep em coming boys
💪🏻
if possible I think we’re going to need a part 2 of this, was absolutely incredible & I think there’s still so much more you could go into
As a life long Liverpool fan growing up watching Ian Wright score goals for fun and to see him happy, carefree and succesful telling his stories and journey with a smile on his face and a great down to earth character and footballing legend YNWA Wrighty!
Love Wrighty. His memory is incredible, recollecting goals, games, and players from decades ago.
My Legend,he made me support Arsenal
Absolute class guest, only 5 minutes in and it's one of the best. Thanks for helping with my mental health. Keep it up!!
Keep your head up!

This man is the reason I became an Arsenal fan a kid love him so much.
Ian Wright is the reason I started supporting Arsenal and still do to this day.
I’m a rugby player (or was), this man was the reason I wore number 8. Bad bad man serious hero
I’d love to see Jamie Vardy on this podcast

The passion in Wrighty is soooo refreshing … that man bleeds football. !
His love of football is endearing !
Legend 🙏
Ian Wright mentioning Dion Dublin - I'm sure I remember him scoring a hat trick while playing center back in the 90s, can't be many who have done that.
Ian Wright is a legend, love his personality, humour and attitude.
Really loved the heartwarming thing with his teacher Mr.Pigden too...
HALAAD TALE COMING TRUE.BIG UP WRIGHT 😍💯
Ian Wright is someone who I always identified with growing up. Learning about his early life makes me feel an even stronger connection to him. He will always be the first icon and hero I ever had.

Could listen to wrighty all day long, hard work got him everything he deserved and hes now an Arsenal legend and loved by anyone who loves football
Started supporting Arsenal because of this legend in 1992 thanks ian wright wright Wright
I remember watching my team Swansea v Crystal Palace in a pre season friendly in the late 80’s and Ian was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch.
After seeing Ian wright, I reckon Tony Adams would be a great guest. Always love it when he pops up on sky.
Cheers for the podcast Ben,Tom and of course Ian.
Sir uncle Ian salute to you, a real living legend. Should be knighted, can't be a single person in the country who dislikes this fella, and that's facts!!
People don't because of I'm a celeb but they forget how much he struggled in there and who he had to deal with ...
This is the best Fozcast ever. True legend Wrighty
Wrighty is spot on about hearing from goalkeepers as a pundit we could do with more of them about. Not on every program but it’s a perspective we don’t hear enough of.
Ian Wright was like a father figure for me growing up, him and Henry, thankyou for your service Mr Wright! And Mr Foster you have made CZcams elite, thanks for sharing everything with us! ❤️
“Absolute legend” as you say Ben is the best way to describe Ian. Always liked Ian Wright the pundit but Ian Wright the bloke, top man. Loved him on I’m a Celeb and on CZcams/Tik Tok. This is the beauty of CZcams, get to know all these people more!
Only a slight few can cut the mustard in an old firm! Brilliant pod brilliant player brilliant hosts. Keep it up troops
The one thing that I find so impressive about Wright from this interview is the way he dealt with the perfectly natural self doubt or lack of confidence to then talk himself into and almost _force_ himself to be confident going into a game. That's an incredible mentality.
Amazing podcast, Wrighty has always been my football hero, I remember playing for the Arsenal academy in the mid 90s and bumping into him at the indoor training facility that was attached to the clock end at Highbury. He was in trouble at the time and had been sent to train with the youth team, instead of sulking he played out of his skin and gave amazing advice to the players coming through. Top top top bloke! and his memory of the games and goals he scored!! wow!
I played on that pitch for Arsenal fans kids V Villa fans kids....scored a one on one to beat Villa 1-0. Memories. x
@@daddysparra5 In the indoor pitch at the back of the old clock end? Loved it there!
United fan - loved Ian v the big Dane. So aggressive and spiteful. Epic battles. Wrighty is a legend even if he was a gooner 👌🏻
Such a positive vibe about the guy... every time
Ian Wright, loved him as an Arsenal player, respect him hugely as a man.
I mean... I bloody love Wrighty. You are quite possibly the most honest player there has ever been. Your love for the game is a joy. I wish my kids had seen you play. ❤❤❤COYG
What a truly great man Ian Wright is....so enjoyable to hear him....a proper football legend
Yes Fozzy! Now Ian is an amazing guest to have on the pod! Respect man!
I spoke to Steve Coppell last week, his affection for Wrighty is unrivaled. You two have turned into a dynamic duo, who's Robin?!!
Absolutely love Ian, he's quality in everything he does, one of the most emotive people out there.
Definitely still think he could be a top coach.
Wrighty's goal against Everton, my favourite of all time, great goal!
(Liverpool fan) Great fella Wrighty. You couldn't dislike him which is very rare in such a tribal sport.
Ive always been a huge Righty fan for just being an awesome bloke who cares about the game and the people around him. My dad was a die hard gunner so even though I’m from York, it was drummed into me to be a gunner too. Sadly my father died young and i missed my later teenage years watching football with him but Dad dragged me down to Hibury a few times and he always loved Ian and his love spread to me. I was stood watching as a teen watching Ian take a corner and i thought i was with royalty. Fast forward to now. I live in Australia and I was lucky enough to snatch corporate tickets for Englands first World Cup match and I saw Ian walking around and I could not believe what I was seeing. I didn’t want to bother the man but my mate went out to ask him for 5 minutes while I tool a leek. Ian gave up 10 minutes of his time and I will always be thankful, just wish my Dad could have been there too. Top bloke.
Wrighty, My legend. Could listen to him all day. Good podcast.
I love the detail in the stories. From where he was to who he was with, Ian is a great storyteller
Legend. Having a chat with a mate a week back and he asked me who my favourite footballer of all time was. I scratched my head and said 'Ian Wright'. He was all 'what, seriously?' and I said 'yeah, around that time when I lived in Highbury, Wrighty meant everything to me.' And since then, off the pitch I've come to love him even more. A great baller and role model
I'm a Liverpool fan. Absolutely love Ben as a goalkeeper and now as a content creator. Top guy fair play!
This is gonna be a banger... Ian Wright is a legend
Ian wright has to be one of the most down to earth fellas ive heard in football, could listen to this man speak all day. Legend mate YNWA
Wrighty is my favourite personality in football. A top bloke who deserves every success. Class video

Loved this interview as an Arsenal fan, a football fan and an Ian Wright fan. What a legend! Also a brilliant interview! Well done guys 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🔥💯
One of my all time hero’s, done chat!😆
Cant remember the last time where I've been glued to the screen taking in every word of an interview. Great hosts allowing Wrighty to share without disruption, but interjecting appropriately without disrupting the flow. Thoroughly enjoyable 90mins of interview and hope their is a part 2.!!
this is so crazy, i was literally just watching his podcast with brian like 2 days ago and this releases mental
Absolutely best Fozcast without question! Wrighty is a LEGEND! 🤟🏻🔥🔥🔥
📎This is the best interview in the podcast so far. Wrighty is so fascinating to listen to.
Brilliant again from wrighty!! Im an Arsenal fan since those henry bergkamp, pires days but the stories/football clips which ive seen and heard of about this guy is always on another level. May it continue!!
Simply the greatest natural goalscorer I've seen play for Arsenal. His enthusiasm and technical ability should be utilised by Arsenal. Coaching badges don't get you goals, experience does and the ability to read the game.He is amazing- love ya wrighty!
Absolutely love Ian Wright what a top man
I love wrighty, so good to hear his story used to see him about south London in his flash motors as a kid what a hero

World class guest, frigging legend
Everytime I see Wrighty 9n a podcast I learn something new about his career. Absolute legend COYG
Great to hear Ian Wright’s story. Thanks for recording this. Wright was a brilliant guest.
Honestly, if Ben is up for it Id love to see him be a part of our squad as a backup to Ramsdale when Leno leaves in the summer.
It’s reassuring to hear Ian talk like this. To see the real side of someone so successful that we all relate to. All the fears that we have that are easy to hide with succes.
Well done Ian and thank you :)
Been a spurs fan all my life , my hero’s are all Tottenham, but I love Ian Wright . Should’ve got more England caps , just watching him you feel his energy, and every time whenever I’ve watched him , I’m smiling. So very humble, knows all the guys from the start of his career. LEGEND
You know the elite of the eiltes like Wrighty etc. can recall pretty much everything so easily. They have such a brilliant mind, vivid, quicker than anyone else. They almost always speak very well too in their own languages.
from a psychological standpoint I found it interesting that Ian picked 4 massive and inspiring Black celebrities. I know this is a very random comment but its amazing to see that subconsciously people pick those that reflect what they are and what they want to be including what they look like even if the similarity is the colour of skin. (P.s if you find my comment racist that wasn't my intention, its just something i found interesting)
Love Arsenal,love Ian Wright what a legend,this is a great f###ing watch 👋🏽👋🏽👍🏽😀
Just want to say hi to the Arsenal legend Mr. Ian Wright all the way from Las Vegas. Much love to you sir and God bless.
IMOSSIBLE not to LOVE Ian Wright, no matter who you grew up supporting, what a guy!
Love Ian Wright, I met him in 2012 and what an absolute gent 💪🏻

This is a top podcast. So insightful and great to hear Ian's story. Keep up the good work Ben 🔥🔥
This is my favourite episode. Hands down. Love Wrighty's honesty, stories and definitely his passion for the game! His autobiography was class as well. It didn't feel like 1hr 21mins at all. I honestly would love to have a chance to talk footy with him all day. On a side note, any chance we can get a referee on as well? Maybe Clattenburg or Collina (oh that would be brilliant!)
Absolutely amazing. The detail is different class boys keep up the good work. These podcast get better and better
My 10 year old nephew watches all you're videos he hasn't been able to play football for a while as his school team hasn't gone back after covid but he now wants to be a goal keeper just like you... so I just want to say thank you Ben for inspiring others you truly are a legend 🙏 loved this one with wrighty also
