I had ordered mine on april 30, and my intrest was 6.49. i started shopping for a better rate since ive never financed at that much interest. The rates changed over night yesterday and my vehicle had arrived. Since i had not accepted the terms , Tesla allowed my to finance at the new rate. It saved me like 8k. I did have to cancel the original order and start a new one, but they fixed it to where i could keep the vin i was originally assigned. Ill take the 624 payment over the 720 any day! Thank you Tesla

@@rajdudhatra6147 sadly, that's the only thing that did not transfer. I had to repay the 250 again, but the way I saw it was that I was saving way more than the 250, so I didn't mind it.

@@reyakisakura3971 yes it's long but I won't be upside down due to interest if I decide to trade in . I usually don't keep cars longer than 4 years.
I dont know how tesla does their math but as soon as I placed my order, stephanie called me from las vegas area code. Told me I need to put down $5600 for a tesla model Y all wheel drive on top of 798/month payment for 72 months. She said the payment showing on her screen is rough estimate and that I would need to get pre qualify for lower payment depending on my credit score and how bank will approve my loan and she does not know if I’ll get approve for the 7500 tax credit. Oh and tesla does not offer buy in option for lease vehicles. So they do warn you before you get into ev which is a honest marketing strategy 😅 so take tesla seriously folks
With the .99% interest rate, that's technically free money. Put your cash elsewhere and earn at least 5%.
Depends. .99% financing requires Tesla to buy down the rate. Instead of a promotional rate, it's possible you could get a lower cash price.
You also have to be well qualified to get that 1% and only the 4500 minimum down payment. Free money? We are paying thousands for something that depreciates daily. Everybody think they day traders now 🙄
@@Emma-33 Depreciation applies to ALL cars. But most people need it to make money. You can buy a house, but you can't drive a house to work. You can sleep in the car, can't drive a house. Depends on your needs.
@@Emma-33 instead of paying in cash, you put that cash into a HYSA and easily get over 1% interest. You make more interest than your 1% APR, so in turn you end up w/more cash than just buying it outright.

I think this is incorrect. The new Model Y won’t be announced until next year. If you want a model y the best time to get that model y is now with 0.99% financing!

Yeah that’s what I heard as well the refresh model Y will not come to the U.S anytime soon! So people should demand from Tesla why the U.S. always get the latest of any model last 😂

Yeah, I don’t know what the fudge you’re talking about, there’s nothing fake about, or misconstrued about .99% financing, it’s real I just got it on my model Y that I purchased two days ago, so I don’t know what else to say about that fudge off I guess

I really wanted to get Tesla Model Y with that rate. However, I live in NYC and insurance costs for this car seems to defeat the purpose of owning an EV and "saving" money at the same time, at least in NYC. It's like a sick joke.
I'd like to ideally wait for the model Y Juniper, but they definitely will have zero incentives, discounts, deals, or any good interest rates like these on those when they come out lol
When model Y was 70k with 5% plus APR, people kept ordering as if there is no tomorrow and the peak wait time went as high as 18 months.
Now Tesla is offering same car for half the price at 0.99% APR , we are talking about wait ..wait..wait.!!

Because the car was heavily discontinued , it was 44000 plus destination until March 31
@@harrytej If people have the cash then the 44000 is great, if you are financing though that quickly becomes a worse deal of course since a 5 year loan at 6.49 would have $7,642 of interest
In Washington state will have state ev incentives for 5 to 9.K this coming August.. i wonder to pull it off today with this 0.9 or wait for couple months
Hey man new to your channel, so far I like it. FYI your math is off when using the Car Calculator. The system doesn't consider $7500 tax break as cash down. This changes the figures quite a bit. I noticed you put it as cash down when it should be in as cash insentive. Also allowing no tax and no fees really changes the price too. I would maybe average the registration and sales tax or use your own state to show a more realistic price range. I wanted to note this since this was kind of point of the video.
Yeah like I did in the above comment nowhere near $489 these youtubers need to use the Tesla calculator and customize including they're state taxes and fees these prices sky rocket after doing that If this car financed was $489 I would of bought it 5 minutes ago but after all the numbers are calculated in my area I'm getting 800+ month even with the .99 no thank you

I called to cancel and reorder an hour later the local Tesla showroom called and told me I would have to pick up in Kansas City instead of Okc
For California purchase are you able to include Registration and taxes to the loan amount? Or do you pay for it time of delivery?
registration and taxes are included in the final price, so anything not paid will go into your loan

I calculated this out. Taxes would have to be paid at the time of the pickup most often when putting cash down. The rest of the registration and fees in CA is about average $650 plus the docking fee $1350 which is all fixed into the loan.

We just committed to our Model Y. The 0.99% interest rate ends end of May 2024. We are 1st time Tesla buyers. We did not like the road noise driving the demo. We missed not having info on HUD or at least in front of wheel. However my wife driving sort of makes that not as important due to her taking our daughter to school. We calculate we will save around 250.00 month in gas costs. The fact that the car is so safe was a big factor too. Not a perfect deal but like that most of our payments go to principal.

Why in the world would you put 7500 down? Put it in high interest savings or treasury's at 5%. You basically break even on the 1% interest you're paying on the car
What’s a good insurance for Tesla?
Where are you getting $489 Financing. You all need to click on customize. Once you do and you add your zipcode for me it's Chicago. Once you click on add taxes and fees this monthly price increases to $800+ including the 7500 and the 0.99 .

Correction to your example…. The 0.99% is for 60 months only…. Not 72 months. At 72 months it’s 1.99% at 84 months it’s 2.99%
0.99% was available for 72 months on May 18th at least. We were surprised at the option and jumped on it. I want to say the Monday after, 5/20, I checked and new orders were unable to get 0.99% for 72 months... it had gone up to 1.99% as you are saying.
Something to note, the .99% is only available for a 60month term and not 72

I had a deal of .99 for 72 months. Tesla changed from 72 to 60 after 5 days when they received a lot of orders on model Y

I have a question! So I purchased my Tesla Model Y Dec 2022. Then after that prices and incentives were going down. I’m a little bit upset because I feel that I’m paying so much for this car now. And even if I buy a brand new one now its not even close to what I’m paying now. I have good credit score about 800 and I financed thru a credit union with 3.74 interest rate. What will happen if I just choose to trade or return my Model Y now. Will I lose more money that way? Thank you!!

The price has been continually reduced and lower apr wins every time over a one time discount. Together with ev credit I’ll take a model y awd for less than a rav4
The thing is if you wait for the discounts you risk the $7,500 rebate which ends next month and this low interest rate ends this month. So its all relative

0.99 is clearly a terrible deal vs cash discount deal.. you basically finance the $6-8k discount with %.99 in 72months

they never asked me for paystubs or anything, but then again i work for tesla so maybe they did that in the backend without me knowing. but i placed my order applied for financing and that was it

Yes if you have excellent credit to get 1% with minimum $4500 down. Maybe for you but majority people do what we can
@Emma-33 nothing on their website says you need excellent credit. It does say "subject to credit approval" but I was there yesterday and was never told you need a 720+ to get that rate. You only need to place the order by the 31st. I could be wrong. If you don't have $4,500 you just have to save up. I don't make an extra $4000 a month. I had to save and maneuver some things. My credit isn't that good but my wife's credit is. So I had to maneuver. If we can't get it because of credit I'll wait until June.
