The look he gives, the over watch guy is amazing. It captures the tension in this scene perfect. The look of "my men are out there and I will recover them".
It was probably because he and his guys were all tired and wounded. They lost a lot of their guys too, due to various causes. I can understand why he was told not to go. But... Those were his men... Nobody gets left behind. ever..
@@Ahtnagarp yeah, but he was a lieutenant Colonel, which is a rank below a Colonel. Typically a Lt Colonel is in charge of an entire betallion, a colonel is in charge of a regiment. While a Lt Colonel and a Colonel have a more formal relationship, as you can see with Danny engaging with the 2 colonels in the helicopter, a Lt Colonel has to obey an order from a Colonel when given.
Real badass leader, McKnight was a true leader leading from the front in the whole movie. Though I came to know that he wasn't allowed to go back in the battlefield.
And that's not just Hans Zimmer composing it. He's actually the one playing the guitar. There's a video on here somewhere showing how the score for the movie got made and Zimmer can absolutely shred it on guitar.
I wonder how true this scene is to the event. I know a lot of things and people were condensed into a few characters to save time and not confuse but I also wanna know how accurate the whole movie is.

Remember when mc Knight was a sergeant under captain miller in saving private Ryan. That you for serving that long.
I admired his dedication when he tried to shoot those Zekes with his shotgun at the attack on Pearl Harbour.
@@elixir4487 yes he was serving in both fronts European and Pacific.

Still speaks to his character that he had to be ordered NOT to go back and fight. Incredible courage and flawless leadership right there.
Powerful scene. You don’t always need words
Always an intense actor. RIP.
