- In this video Leah shares insights on what to expect during a Compensation and Pension (C&P) exam for heart or cardiac conditions for VA disability claims. She emphasizes that understanding the process can alleviate anxieties veterans may have. Information about the exam is available on the VA website, where veterans can download the Disability Benefit Questionnaire to review or have filled out by their doctor, potentially aiding their VA claim. Leah highlights that the exam can assess heart conditions on a primary or secondary basis, including conditions caused or aggravated by service. The process involves receiving a packet with details about the provider conducting the evaluation, which could be a variety of healthcare professionals, not necessarily a cardiologist.

Can I service connect a condition if I suffered an illness or injury while on Title 32 502 F Orders ?..... I was diagnosed, sleep studied, and received a CPAP Machine while on Title 32 502 F Orders. However, the VA denied my Obstructive Sleep Apnea for not being Service Connected......Can you please answer this for me ?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. YOUR CONTENT IS SO HELPFUL.
Hey sir! I am not too sure about that. I am sorry! I am glad you are enjoying the content! @@74D50
@@prestigeveteranmedical It's a form of active duty orders. Thank you for taking the time to read it. Are you going Live Soon ?
Hey sir I do not really go live very often on CZcams. Not many people tune in at one time unfortunately. @@74D50
my cand p exam is tomorrow morning. wish I had seen this sooner
Best of luck to you on this!
Ty for this video. I had C&P exams in December and my conditions were deferred and I have to go for a second round of C&P exams in 10 days. A-Fib, hypertension, sleep apnea with CPAP and they added left ventricular hypertrophy, cardiomegaly and valvular heart disease. I am not sure if this is good or bad but not sure why they would defer and do more exams if they were planning on a denial but I hope it works out. Thankfully I live a reasonable distance from the QTC location.
Thank you for the feedback and thank you for watching. Please keep us posted on this!
Hi, I just wanted to update about the outcome of my claim. Hypertension, arrhythmia and left foot pes planus with plantar fasciitis were granted bringing me from 79% to 91%. They didn't grant sleep apnea however now it is a recognized condition so maybe I can still get it granted with a supplemental claim.
Thanks again for all of the great information. Building my 3rd claim now which hopefully will bring me up to 100%.
@@jaytek74 Thank you for sharing and congrats on the issues you were approved for
Great video ma'am
I am at 92 % and shooting for 100% with 2 claims (1 service connected and 1 secondary). I have just submitted a Fully developed claim; used all your advice!!
Just wondering if one submits a solid FDC with a diagnosis, all medical evidence, solid nexus letters with "more likely than not, in fact highly likely" written by my Doctor, coupled with a solid personal statement (in a short concise manner conveying the landscape); all the things you address in your videos.
Question:
if I submitted a Fully developed claim recently with all medical evidence, nexus letters, full diagnosis and full documentation, does this help me to NOT have the VA call me for a C&P exam?
Thank you .
That is a really great question and I wish there was a straightforward answer. Theoretically yes but often exams are still ordered for various reasons. Keep us posted on this and best of luck
If one submits a Nexus letter is he required to submit a DBQ as well ? Thank you
None of these are required sir. Thank you for watching
I am applying for an increase for IHD agent orange. If I get called in for a C&P exam will I / can I be subjected to tests such as stress test and ultrasound? Thank you for your hep
I am not really sure about that sir I apologize. Best of luck and thank you for watching
My cardillgest progress notes stated that my Mets was between 5-7 Mets what number is the VA rater likely to use?
I am not sure sir it just depends on how your scores are when they assess it
@@prestigeveteranmedical Thank you!
