In this video, I show you how to do what is called a “fake out” with your patterned wallpaper. If you have a pattern on your wallpaper, eventually, you will be joining your end piece to your first piece and how it looks Will make all the difference!
Please see this video before you hang your wallpaper around the room and don’t connect the beginning to the end correctly. - Jak na to + styl
Those are some skills, man. It’s definitely an art.
I was trying to overcome this very situation just today. Thanks for this man. I'm gonna give it a try.
Great skills. We were kid of the 80’s. My mother showed us a lot of walllpapering skills when we were teenagers. I still remember them all this many years later. A little care and attention to things like that makes a difference to the finish. Well done. Great video.
Fantastic skill and something I’ve never done or seen before...would love to spend a few weeks helping out and picking your brains..thanks for the vid👏👏
Fantastic job well done 👍👍 thanks for sharing your knowledge, your videos are much appreciated
Good luck doing this with Laura Ashley wallpaper, tissue
Impressive. I couldn’t have figured out how to give the illusion of detailed design of wallpaper flowing , appearing to match on all walls. Thank you for sharing the techniques.😃
Absolutely superb Spencer. We across the pond finish in the least obvious/ smallest corner. This I've always said is far better. Top work sir 🫲 Paul of Manchester 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ✂️
It’s a privilege for me to have you watching my channel; I have met so many good DECORATORS from your neck of the woods, and I am honored at your compliment
Great music at the end! 🎉🎉🎉
Quality as always Spencer love your videos you've turned me from an good paper hanger to a quality paper hanger with your videos love them.
Wow. THank you.
Big floral pattern helped . Nicely done Spencer. Good work. 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome skill 👍
That’s absolutely phenomenal! Some serious talent and skill there.
Not Really
Wow. That’s amazing! Even when you know it’s there you can’t see it! Even super zoomed in! I don’t do wallpaper I paint but every time I see one of your wallpaper videos I’m always impressed.
Thank you so much my friend. What a nice complement
You are simply a genius. Love your Videos👍
Love your channel brother. Cheers from Canada. You have been more helpful than I can give you thanks for. Keep the videos coming. ✌️
Wow. What a compliment. Thank you sir!
Spencer Colgan Wallpaper & Painting my partner and I just finished our first full hotel room. Wouldn’t have been possible without your teachings. We are full time postal workers and paint full time on the side. We are now the most asked for wallpaper installers. Thanks again.
Todd Lefebvre ,
Do you know how good that makes me feel? To know that I’m helping good people like you and Wallpaper? You made my day my friend
Spencer Colgan Wallpaper & Painting Thank you again, and for all future tricks we learn from you.
Todd Lefebvre. He’s a good teacher. Especially for us homeowners.
Brilliant such patience
Very impressive! Do you have the patience of a saint. Thank you for the tips I am attempting wallpaper in my dining room soon and this was very helpful.
Beautiful job
Genius man !! Thanx
Amazing.
On point!
Well done Spencer and thanks for sharing.....love your videos....
Thank you David.
There's no other explanation for this... it's black magic! (hahahaha!!) Wow! In all seriousness, this is amazing!
Some fantastic skills in that outstanding match sir..
Anyone can do this, and it’s simply a matter of cutting through a pattern to create an illusion….Sometimes it can’t be done
تبریک میگم . کارت عالی بود . از دیدن این برنامه لذت بردم . درود بر شما . لایک داری عزیزم . درود بر شما . من از کشور ایران برنامه های شما را تماشا میکنم
Nice one spencer, this technique is rarely used in the U.K... I've done it a few times, it can work really well, the pattern plays a big part.
I once did a 3 in wide striped paper, reducing the stripe width on the last few lengths slightly, so there was no pattern loss anywhere in the room....the customer didnt seem that impressed after all my hard work though 🙄😔
thast's amazing, how you did it. love it
wow so cool
Hat's off to you Spencer, you done it again, totally jaw dropping, looks fantastic from where your standing, as it does all the back here in the UK 🇬🇧, yet again, a big thank you for sharing your precious knowledge to one and all . Look forward to your next vid . 🤗
Very cool Hey i stopped by and dropped a sub and smashed the thumbs up Great video have a great week led
Wow
Love the work! The music intro and exit are too loud compared to content sound, be ready to adjust the volume.
Bravo
Wow 😮 wow 😮😮😮❤🎉😂😂
So when you do this it comes down to my other comment on your other video about doing this, what if it was just stripes same sort of thing? Does it also cut the underlap aswel as the overlap
Watched your last fake out video but this is impressive dude.
Thank you very much but I must tell you it’s a function of the Wallpaper; you can be the best at this but the Wallpaper has to cooperate.
The king of wallpapering
❤
I would have enough money to pay just for the effort you put to the last bit may be 100£ just for the last bit.... We'll done, 👏🥂
Fake-out start: 5:03 👍
Thank you brother
I was just thinking about this last night! Can I ask you what you think about zinzer suregrip wallpaper glue?
Thanks for your videos they are always informative
Excellent excellent product!
End it is less expensive than the leading brands that are stored in the paint stores in the USA. Here it is in its 5 gallon bucket:

@@spencercolgan superstar! Wow $40! I have it on sale at $150 and I have to drive 1.5 hours to get it! I can order roman 838 but it comes in 4l from USA 2 week turn around. Maybe I'll stick with zinzer! Thanks again
It was 25 years ago I done my nvq.but we were always learned to finish above the doorway.because that part isn’t seen when looking into a room .but there maybe lots of different way now.the thing is I hate wallpaper painting.that’s most probably why my nvq level two went to waste lol
Deep fake out = magic!
It doesn’t get any better than that!
What's the name of wallpaper
The customer gave me the leftover two rolls, if I remember, I will send you the name of the wallpaper
Thanks
I sottotitoli non tutti parlano inglese americano ecc.ecc è un peccato si possono allargare gli orizzonti
AAAAA*
How much is that wallpaper?🤣
$50 per roll. You like it? I love it.
Why not just slice through them both instead going to them x streams you would never see it anyway the match
Charlie. Try it the way you suggested. It won’t look as good brother. Cheers.
LEONARDO DA VINCI COULD NOT DO BETTER
Lol.
I'll have whatever the cameraman's drinking with ice please. No... Quality and genius recorded so badly. Noooooooooo
I have to agree with you; this is what I’m dealing with
That was great - but find yourself a sober cameraman.
Tell me about it
No water bottle ever needed in 35 years dude your just slow really
What is wrong with being slow? I am highly paid; I have no need to rush.
Wow
